I drove for a company that had the Club Car account. They didn't use trailers like the one shown in the ad. They were special vans. Drivers were specially picked for those positions. I never wanted to do it even though it paid well. You had to go to Club Car school on how to deliver, load and unload, do any small repairs needed. The truck and trailer had to be washed before stops, the drivers also had to wear Club Car uniforms, and have a fresh shower before deliveries. Everything was by appointment, and the appointment had better not be late. The golf courses are sometimes very hard to get into with the truck, and even worse getting out of.

There are usually several stops per load, covering several states. When empty you hump it back for another load unless you're picking up damaged or carts for replacement. That doesn't happen much. Our drivers were paid for everything, including motels at night, food, ect.

This was a small company that made a huge effort to make sure things went right, as Club Car paid well for service done the way they wanted it done. Somehow I just don't see CRST being able to meet Club Car's expectations unless Club Car has drastically lowered their standards, or CRST had drastically upped theirs, which I don't see either happening.

    baha Thanks this.

Actually, CRST seems to be trying to up their standards. They are going nuts about safety and CSA. I'm seeing nearly everyday (they send out qualcomm messages) where people are getting fired for 30 CSA points. Even the lease drivers are being forced into elogs to help get rid of log violations.
