Man up and forget it, it was an honest mistake and will be a great story for the rest of your life. Like a tattoo but better. If it were me, I'd give dispatch 7734 but jokingly.
Next thing you'll want to sue for slipping while wearing wet shoes

I will talk to a lawyer and if they say I don't have a case I will move on.

If I was wrongfully arrested and all that trash, I would be on the phone with a lawyer about the situation and get the advice from them on what to do. How could a trailer that is hooked to a CRST truck that has the paperwork for the load in the trailer, the driver has possession of the current trailer registration, AND the drivers can prove they are employees of CRST be arrested for stealing a trailer? You look and see a GPS beacon for a trailer going down the road, then the GPS beacon for a truck 2 feet in front of the trailer hmmmmmm not hard to see "oh truck **** is hooked to trailer ****** that we thought was stolen..... Just sayin..... I know at Prime when I was there almost 10 years ago, when you plugged your 7 way into the trailer, it would send a signal to the truck then to dispatch for which trailer you just hooked up! That was with the old school QC not the new electronic logbook ones!

Something is rotten in Denmark......is my thinking.
There is way more to this STORY, than we are being told. The police will arrest based on a few certain things. As has been posted already. But, they are still human and mistakes do get made.

the police on the scene most likely ran both the tractor and trailer license plates. when one comes up as stolen they do what the have to do. not up to them at the scene to detirmine exactly HOW and why it was reported as stolen. they simply did their jobs, they are not the bad guys here.

What exactly are you going to be able to sue them for?

That's the problem with this industry and why companies get away with so much because no one wants to sue them, just forget it.

    Well you showed them.
What exactly do you think the companies total responsibility is. And how much do you think they should pay you for your troubles?
How were "they" "the company" responsible for what happened?

    double yellow Thanks this.
