They will get another tractor for him. It may take a day or two. Why not get in your own vehicle and drive down to Ca yourself and look at it?. Fontana should have plenty of tractors sitting in the terminal. If he is gonna be in a lease he is paying all the bills so put some effort into it. Sounds to me like you two expect CRST to hold your hand, It is up to you not CRST. Also they will make the tractor road worthy. They can not fix something if they don't know what needs fixed. Why should CRST have to pay for a car or gas anyway?when you are the big businee owner.,,Lease operator or whatever. How much do you have invested now/ I am willing to wager that CRST has way more invested in it than you do.I do not want to sound mean but show some initative.

Look did not post on here to be badgered by the likes of you. You have no idea what has been spent etc. So kindly do not pass judgement when you have no supporting evidence. In my post i asked for INTELLIGENT experienced truck drivers for advice...your post shows there is something lacking......se forums are for help and discussion, not for people like you to play big man and bash them. Do not comment on my posting further...thank you

Sorry for losing my temper, this has been very stressful

Yes they gave him the idnumber of truck in a emwil friday, one day b4 he was to leave. And we have over 7,000 invested in this. Much more then crst. We paid for truck school and all licensing, testing and endorsements ourself.

Shame on him? Banking at expense of student? Far from the truth. He is willingly putting his own safety and life at stake trying to make a difference and be a good trainer and help others be safe and knowledgable.... two things you hear students say their trainer did not do.

Well being a CRST L/P driver myself just on the Malone Side his truck comes with a 30 day Bumper to Bumper Warranty so what if something is wrong go over it with a fine tooth comb and once he has found everything wrong with it, get it fixed, simple as that at no cost to you or him, Even Better Cracked Engine Block have it taken to Freightliner or Detroit engine shop (my preference is the latter) and have a new engine put in it, then when its road worthy at their expense enjoy

Wait hold up, they are letting him a new truck driver fresh out of trucking school L/P a Truck AND BE A TRAINER, With NO Experience Himself! my recommendation is Cancel the lease and be a company driver get a couple of years under his belt then consider purchasing a truck

Read your lease, if it has a deal where they fix all DOT issues and such, have them do it and do not drive the truck untill all repairs are done. If like the other poster stated it needs a new engine, you guys are golden then for the engine as all work done will be warrenty covered. Also get copies of all repairs so if a break down issue happens on repaired or replaced parts they should be covered..
    Good luck
