That's all fine and dandy, but the thing of it is, even if something does cause the truck to go down during that period and they pay for it, it still costs you. You make your money with the wheels turning. That's the skinny of it. If I go over a truck I'm buying and miss something, that's on me... but I'd rather have myself to blame than someone else. That's just me.
I'm not bashing Malone in any way... I think highly of Malone. When I did own trucks, they weren't OTR trucks. If I did decide to go back to OTR and buy a truck, I probably would lease on with someone to get started, and Malone would definitely be a candidate.. in which case, I'd chat up Doug Olander in Sioux Falls and see about running through him. Good guy, he is.
I just can't be swayed on the whole "sight unseen" thing, though. I turn wrenches, I do it for a living now, I trust what my eyes see, and I want my eyes on it before I commit to buying any vehicle, regardless of the promises made. Maybe I'm being finicky, but that's just how it is.

Find a job closer to home and NEVER lease! Buy truck through a bank is only way to do it

and your right it does suck to be Broke down while out on the road, i try to keep that from happening by getting repairs done when i go home cant help injectors or other random stuff but the things you can, i just run the time i set for myself then when i go home drop it off at Clark Power and tell them what to fix that way im not losing money cuz i was planing on being home for that time any way..

I like Running for Doug's office those DAX electronic loads are a sweet deal last time he as able to toss to engines on the back that were delivering 10mi from my last stop which added a nice 1k to the load, and Camilla she is a really reliable Agent, and Debb Wolf, lol honestly i dont have anything to do with Malone and Dispatch if i can help it i work for a handful of agents and they do right by me

No, they're not. One has ownership of the other, but they're entirely different animals.

Hell yes! I loved those Daktronics loads!
Camilla... I don't remember her, but I do remember Debbie Wolf... she could reach very far, and often did.
Doug's a good guy. Him and Jake are great to work with. Todd... you have to be a little wary of him, because he'll try to pull some #### over on you sometimes.
Those plastic rolls going to the oilfields are pretty common with Olander, as well. They load right there in Sioux Falls, off the same exit the Flying J is off of.
If you ever end up in Florida, you'll probably be hauling honey out of there... if you get barrels, not too much to worry about, but if you get the comb honey in boxes, you need to be extremely careful with it.. run during the day - don't sit with that stuff, try to park in the shade if you do have to, get to your destination ASAP... trust me, you DO NOT want that stuff sitting on your trailer any longer than it absolutely must.

My only experience is with Swifts lease program and they said look at the line of new trucks Volvo's, KW, Prostars, if you don't like what we have in Phoenix let me bring up what we have elsewhere and we will let you drive a company truck to look at the trucks elsewhere. He ended up getting a New Cascadia pre-ordred for another previous leasee with 1750 miles on it with a bunch of not gonna get them in a Swift add ons paid for by previous leasee.

That said everyone makes the lease jump with the best of intentions and I do hope for you as the wife with no power at home that things get better for you and him. Big Hugs! Leases can work out don't fret to much.

Crst lease purchase is a joke because there trucks are teashed. But if you bring your own truck to crst its a top company to make money and get cheap labor from student drivers.for .06cpm. Or malone side makin atleast $2pm. But trucks are ##### out in my opinion. As a company driver I went through 6 of there trucks in a year

I went to Malone when I first brought my truck. At Orientation, I couldn't believe the trucks these guys was getting handed out and the condition they were in. They signed their leases before even seeing the truck. One guy pipe was one hard pothole hit away from flying off the truck. I swear, I don't want to bash you guys that have made it or have enjoyed their time at CRST Malone, but no way in hell would I pay payments on a truck I couldn't pick from.

But I do know, 4 guys from my Orientation class had to drive to Kansas City to get their trucks. It really hurts my heart to see how gullible some of the folks i share the road with. I guess they had to do, what they had to do. Better than me.....

Even if the truck were brand new I would run from a fleece purchase. But if you are going to try a fleece purchase, remember, it's never too early to apply for food stamps / government assistance .

If it doesn't work out at CRST, then look at Cardinal Logistics. They have a good deal on purchasing trucks and it's not a lease deal. He can buy one of their trucks or pick one out anywhere he wants.
