Would'nt recommend them to anyone. They are small time and just lost their biggest account.
They are all O/O with some Lease purchaser's.
I had to find most of my freight on my own. I've had enough and I'm going to take my truck elsewhere.

I have a friend who has his trk leased to crst malone and he is doing great. He was with malone before crst bought them out. He has been with them over 15 yrs and has bought 2 new KW's and his own flatbed trl. I am going to orientation on the 6th of March. Every lease operator I talked to says their doing good. The trk payment is only $300 per week but they tell me the total deductions with everything is $1051 per week. "OUCH". I'll keep ya posted.

How long is their orientation?

For what it's worth, I know of not one single Malone driver that I have ever met that was happy there.
The agents whose spouses had trucks did great but still were not happy.
Mark my words, you will haul heavy for cheap and tarp for almost free. You will wish you had money to do your maintenance and to buy the things that you need to operate.
They will try to bankrupt you and have you owing them money when you leave. I was only there for a month but I now make more in half a week than I did there in my one month with Malone.
Of the two lease operators that I met while there, both were fired when Malone lost their biggest steel account.
One thing you will learn is, how not to make money trucking.
And keep us posted if your buddy with the two KW's gets you loads and helps you out when you need it.
Luck to you.

I am taling with a rect now they are confusing me with the talk of agents in different areas and they told me to call one close to me and she said does not load flat beds told me to call OKCity where they want me to go to orientation. I spoke to agent there that told me her husband had 20 trucks leased and I would pull out of there once I talked with him and he made sure I was a good fit for that area. I am really confused? Any help or should I not do this at all?

are you the driver that just leased to LandStar? If so how is that going?

There is freight but they want you to haul it for cheap. It's better for me to sit at home right now.Intothesunset and Breeze3 Thank this. -
Sounds like you didnt understand the program here at Malone. Your "supposed" to find your own loads. Thats why your called a contractor and there are "agents" throughout the country. If you want your "dispatcher" to find you a load, he will, but be sure that you know, your going to be at the bottom of the list. Plus assume that he/she is going to assume that you can't drive and schedule you for delivery later in the day. If you want to make money, take charge and do it. You can never make money relying on someone else to make your paycheck. He/she will only get you what theyt find, and be assured, that it will be the easiest thing for them to find as well as being the cheapest freight out there. I don't know everything there is to know about Malone, but as a business person, you should know what it takes to break even and make money in "your" truck and operate it as such. To much idling, poor maintainence, and poor choice of loads because of what they pay and where they go can put you out of business in a hurry. I hope you find what your looking for and wish you the best.
