Crst was a joke

i went thru their school and went thru their so called road test in febuary of last year Steve and Tom their so called SAFETY TRAINERS you probably had one of the 2 my guess it was Tom your right they want you to drive like grandma and don't spill their coffee or you fail we had i think it was 7 people in the truck i was in and 2 of them was in the top bunk thats against their rules too but they did not say anything about that and like you tom was on the phone and one of the guys almost ran over a car with the trailer and tom did not see that and but he got a curb and they made him pull over on the exit ramp and that is also going against their policy i spent 4 months with them and had no problems til the put a non smoker in the truck i had was good for 2 days but this guy would not sleep mayber 4 hours if that and tells me that i can't smoke sorry i was here first called dispatch after we made the deliveries and said if they did not get him out of the truck that i was done send me home they said what do you mean i said if you don't get him out of this truck i quit they sure did not like that one they told me that they would get me to a terminal and get me a new driver well i had to go right thru Cedar rapids IA the main terminal went in and talked to the dispatcher and a couple of others in that office an they said just keep him in the truck needless to say i got fired a week later after this guy threatend me while i was driving and he got to stay i had to find my own way home from Portland OR good thing i had family there so made it home in 2 days but i know how you felt driver be safe and have a great time with kllm PoundPuppy

Checked on my app with CRST today. They said it was turned down, because I had put that I had 4 DUIs. Typo; not sure how that happened.

Wasn't going to accept employment from them anyways; was actually just calling them to withdraw my app.

Just going to pay for my school at a local college. I have to take Math and English too though, but at least I get 16 credits.

You know, funny thing is all the benefits you speak of with KLLM and with the exception of EZPass and such, CRST is not any different. I keep all my Petro points, I get my truck washed, I get tolls reimbursed, I get my truck fixed at TA etc, etc, .......Maybe I am just overly optimistic, but aside from the low pay....I have had minimal problems.

Key to it is, you need to be on one of their three man teams. 20 days out, 10 days home....you basically rotate every 10 days. You always run as you get load preference behind O/O's and you always keep the same truck. I am home now, but in my last 20 days out, I was running 4500-5500 miles per week.

I found two other guys I was in School with. Now though, both of them quit and I am sitting at home playing "pin the tail on the co-driver that isn't a scumbag" so I can get back out on the road for the next three months and get this contract crap overwith.

Before the first one quit, he got into with the dispatcher over some petty BS and we got a bunch of short run crap. Once I got off for my hometime and the third guy got on, it was more of the same...once I got back on last week when he quit, it was back to business until the second guy quit...but before he did, we were running good again.

You just gotta realize that you are going to be broke for a while. However, they DO teach you how to drive a truck and give you 8 months to perfect it...so I guess you get something out of it.

Try Schnieder, my wife went there 4 yrs ago and you just commit to them for one year to pay for training. That is if you need training, if just a refresher then not too sure how it works with them.

Just want to know what he is going through from an outsider point of view that has been there.
