| crst iam a new driver 4 months in, on a contract. i understood what i was getting myself in.I was prepared financially to not make much money. Frankly I am learning about the business, about trucking , and what those cie get away with. Its A struggle to get back home, and living with a codriver for a month or more at the time is more than challenging. my bring home income is less than a 1000.00 a month, I dont rely on this income to live, however i find it insulting. I Have a few ideas what i will do once the contract is done with, but one of these is not to stay here. |

Are you kidding? I can't believe anyone would have the gall to pay that little. I made that with the first semi-truck trucking co I worked for, and that was almost 33 years ago. The company I worked for was also one of the lowest paying around. A company which pays .11 today deserves to go under. 1975 wages, .11 mile, paid hub miles for all miles run, $10.00 for first drop and $2.00 per drop for all drops afterward. Two loads a week, 10-20 drops per load, all new furniture. It seems as if trucking has gone backward instead of forward. |

That contract does not FORCE you to stay. It mearly makes you liable for payment if you leave. You could get another.19 a mile easily with any respectable company. I was knocking down 6-800 a week in 1985 pre tax. I'm not doing much better now, but I'm home a whole lot more. And, it would be a cold day in *&^% before I would work for .11 a mile.

| crst I understand the contract is financial obligation. if i plan on doing my own business owning my own authority, hell i can do that tomorrow. if i want to work with some other cie before i venture on my own , the deal is that they wont release the experience i have with them. |

Another company tactic/lie to keep the new guys in line. And YES I know that to be a fact. My attorney handled it quickly over the phone...for $75 Don't believe everything companies tell you. And, if you don't believe me. Call a lawyer.

| Dance, I am going to leave under contract but I think I may have to buy it out because other companies are afraid CRST will sue them for hiring drivers that signed their contracts before they are up. Any info on that? I have been there for three months and haven't seen a profit yet. I literally have not gotten a paycheck since I started driving. My deductions eat it up.....it's a terrible wage. |
