My fm is usually pretty good although he reall ticked me off today. TA's have the part. there is a fr8tlnr 60 miles from my house and my fm refuses to let me d/h there saying oh we can just order the part in atlanta and gett it fixed when you come back out. Which of course will cause breakdown pay for them on top of motel rooms... in my way of thinking it would be cheaper to just let me take it to the shop on h/t DUH....

Now you stop that immediately. What you are saying is common sense, rational decision processing. This is trucking, we don't do that, we don't even contemplate that!

Don't send this message to any 'fm', 'dm', or even a planner, without the issuance of a large type dictionary. You would really be upseting the apple cart if this is forwarded without explanation of any word longer than 4 letters.

Our fm had us push the truck here to Fontana from Tucson az the mechanic said he was surprised we even pulled a hill as we had loss of power. Then the tandems wouldn't slide on the trailer we had andthey wanted us to drive to Livingston ca to fix it we were in Modesto ca no way in hell am I doing that so I backed it up against a curb and used it as a stop and it worked I think the brakes were just about toast on that trailer but not sure.

That's why you should invest in a good chauk block. It helps on trailers that are hard to slide.
