Oh; heck I just saw this post. I would go with crst before cre and that should tell you about cre...

Yeah, kinda what I was thinking too. Especially after viewing the rip off report. I am so anxious to drive but I am wondering if I would be better off to wait and see if anything changes.

I will be honest with you this is the first time I have ever seen it this bad. The future does not look real good in trucking from where I sit. The economy will pick up, but with all the issues in trucking now I am not so sure how things will pan out. At the same time I realize at home jobs are closing doors and going away. I don't know what the answer is.

For me it is not a matter of having a job. I know I have to at least try this because I can't stop thinking about it - I tried, LOL, thats why I need a refresher now. I am just wondering if I might have better choices later. It seems companies are changing their policy constantly.

well im not sure if this whole driver prescreening will help out any, as i might get rid of some drivers and might even things out a bit but im sure notarps knows a bit more than i do. Also my dad says hes never seen it this bad either and hes been driving for 30+ years. Itll get better eventually, but i did run good with crst.

Just talked to recruiter again. Now they are saying, instead of a refresher, I will have to complete the 2 week school. On the bright side, I won't have to pay up front for the refresher. I will be a contract student, with school paid if I complete 8 months with them. But, it also means being gone even longer. Also, couldn't guarantee the 20/10 program, as it would be up to the dispatcher after I complete training. Geez, this keeps getting better and better. I ask her for time to think about it. Need to let her know by Thursday.

Look at it this way if you are getting yanked around this much and being told something different every time you talk to them imagine what they will be like when you are under contract and they are no longer trying to talk you on board...

well take it from someone whos been with crst, i had terrible luck on training as far as loads, my co-driver didnt, we got his dispatcher, after we were on our own we did pretty good. I guess i gotta call my recruiter tomorrow as i have yet to get a call. The app assigned me the same recruiter i had last time so it might be easier hah. And notarps if you dont mind me asking, have you worked for CRST or are you going by general knowledge?

If it wasn't for having to be out 3 months before going home, I wouldn't mind giving it a try.

No I Have never worked there. Just going with what a lot of their drivers I have talked too have told me. Plus I have a copy of their contract. I was not impressed with it at all.
