Yeah i ran with CRST for 6 mos. I had 2 trainers cuz my first 1 went on his hometime b4 my 3 weeks of training were up. The 1st one was COOL!! my 2nd one was ok...But my1st co-driver was NOT cool, but the 2nd one I had b4 I left was one of the nicest met I ever met.

They will give u good miles and good home time. Just be careful with your co-drivers and trainers. Almost half the drivers were trainers back when I was there in 03!!

When I left they were hurting for trainers, even going as far as asking people with less than 6 months to train. But once you find that good trainer and co-driver keep em.

I am not scheduled for orientation yet. I will be going with the LP Program. Nervous as all get out about quiting my job and doing this. One question I have is, If CRST does not have any loads for me, Can I use broker or do I have to have CRST find all I loads ?

i just got back my trainer was great. one thing to remember this is a training company, so you will not make a lot of money here. also, my trainer was a lease op and his truck was a piece of junk. before he got me, he wrote up a worksheet to get a few things fixed. one of them being a major air leak. they did not fix it. so i have learned not to lease and the trucks i drove at my cdl school were in a lot better shape.

I will be here for at least 3months, then i am planning to ride with my trainer, who will be buying his own truck.

you will have to pay back your bus ticket and your housiing, so dont be surpriized when you get here.

i had a good time with my trainer, he was a lease-op and he was very knowledgeable. we laughed a lot and had a good time making fun of the crst's messages. that read"good afternoon gold team"
the month went by really fast. im now back at cedar rapids to finish my orientation and then go out with my co-driver. I want to run instead of going home, since i may beans, i need to work will take home time later in the month

hey judith. i just got back to cedar rapids last night. i had a good time with my trainer. He and I laughed a lot, but when it was time for business, we were both serious.

the money sucks. i had recent exp. but they did not recognize it. i plan to be here less than 6 months. i have to look at the big picture. im getting more training, and then i can go to work with my trainer, who is planning on buying his own truck. I can then still build my exp and in a year or so, buy my own rig.

any questions, just let me know.
