    well, after i found what a rip-off millis transfer's per diem pay is, and seeing how in incompetent their safety dept is, and the fact that they are dump off benefits, i decided to go back to my old company, GSTC, out of walford, ia. at least there i didnt have to fight to stay legal, and i made more money with them. thats proof that smaller comapnies tend to treat drivers way better, im hoping that new e-logs stuff with help DOT stay off me ###.

    Good luck at your new job.I see a GSTC truck parked here EVERY weekend.It seems to me from reading this website that some of the better companies to drive for are based out of the plains and midwest.

    It must be something in the water or the fact that they are started and still run by hard working people who have a lot of respect for the drivers that make them money.

    Many of these companies are started by former drivers or farmers who realize how tough the job can be.

    Some of the better companies I have read about on this site:Magnum(Fargo,ND),Crete(Lincoln,NE),Fremont Contract Carriers(NE),Taylor(MN),JR Schugel(MN?),West Side(Cedar Rapids,IA),and I would bet many more.

    To me it's not all about a few cpm,but being treated with respect and operating well maintained equipment.
