    West Tennessee Express

my 4th company, and ive got to say, its pretty good so far. been there over a month, and yes im sure things will fluctuate. but this is the first one ive been with that dont make you wait for another dispatch. they always have one right away. the longest ive waited is about 30 minutes. and your home every weekend. the downfall is 63 mph trucks. kenworth. but the load leaves somewhere from jackson tn area, goes out, then a return load brings you back to the area. very small company, and so of course im worried it may not last. but heres hoping.

Do they hire newbies or only people with some experience?

WTX is good company but the pay is horrible, like .28 to .30 mile to start. You have got to be pretty desperate to work for that little pay. They do have good safety guy and out and back runs, but pay is very too little.

Gotta have experience. They have been around for a good while so I dont see them just going any where anytime soon.

I am wanting to go to WTX, live in Paris, Tn, driven over 10 years but only local for 8 months after no driving for 5 years. No accidents or tickets. Would they put me in a truck? Very anxious to get back to otr.

    Hey $hortCut,

I am in the same boat sort of. I've been driving somewhat local for PFG for the past 8 months. Looking for something else due to hours of service.

On another note, you don't know Cody Nance of Paris do ya?

Talked to them and it's .28 to start. Think there are better options out there. I mean people are coming out of school making more than that.
