Yeah, it is

Of course Swift's website is misleading. Why do you think yesterday's quitters became yesterday's quitters? If that website were honest, if SwiftCo really WERE the best thing to happen in the economy since electricity, guys would be staying there. But they aren't.

Norcal, best of luck at Swift. I really hope you can make it work there. Keep us posted, and if you run into any BS, just buck up and take it. One year will go by pretty fast. You may see some hungry periods during that 365 days, but after you get that experience, you'll be able to move on (assuming Swift doesn't pull its usual dirty trickery on you by reaming your DAC for no good reason).

Yeah I drive a Swift truck
And that means one thing
It means she's slow
It's a typical company truck
It's just all show and no go

I'm gettin' passed by Yella
And even Overnite
I'm gettin' passed by ever' body in sight
46 days on the road
And I'm not gettin' home tonight

No, my hometown's nowhere in sight
And if you think I'm pissed off
You're right
46 days on the road
And I'm not gettin' home tonight

Love pissing off those trucking company insiders.

I called that terminal manager on that one myself. He seems to not know anything about that, so that decision must come from the corporate office.

Well, recruiters are welcome here too, until they start trying to recruit people. Then they get the boot.

The website says 1 year exp can make that money, it does not say new drivers with 0 exp. A 12 month exp driver knows the ropes, makes more per mile verses a new driver. I am also guilty into reading into the website more then was there. There is no reason why a 1 year driver cant get 2100 per week, and most of my exp drivers make that. My new drivers are the ones that do not because they have not learned how to run properly yet. So no its not misleading, but its definately misread.

Right.......I misread it. Whatever gets you through the day. By the way what does a new driver make in their "first" year with Swift and isn't that what your "mentors" are suppose to teach the trainee. Showing them the ropes?

Tip you worked for them. What was your experience right out of cdl school?
