KLLM, Inc. - Richland, Ms.
Well just yesterday I got the call to report to KLLM's Dallas terminal for orientation on Monday. I've yet to pull reefer's, and am hoping that I don't have too many extra long dock times with this company. Recruiter said the only do about 35% drop and hook, but that the do have 90% no touch freight (as most large companies do). Haven't heard anything bad about them on here, and if anyone has any information (good or bad) about them I would love to hear it.
Y'all don't forget to keep those tires turnin and that diesel burnin', but get there safe to keep on earnin'!

Re: KLLM sounds good so far...
KLLM is one of those companies that used to have a horrible reputation, but have seemed to turn that completely around. Their safety stats are better than average, and they just don't seem to generate a great deal of negative complaints.

Overall, good co. My only gripes; fair communication and slow (65mph) trucks (turned down from 68 and 70 in June '05). Was there 4+ yrs. I left Jan '06 cause of the above.

Kllm
They wern't that bad of an outfit when I drove over there a few years ago...
I did have major problems getting home though, and that was the reason I quit.
Only got home 3 times in 5 months.Screw that.

i get great home time at KLLM
I've been driving for KLLM for about 8 months now and in that time I have only been late getting home (when I asked to be) once and that was because of a slow shipper. I have never had to touch a thing when it comes to unloading. I get good miles and the company is doing alot of good things to make the driver's life easier. Overall I think they're great. I'm a company driver and I run a reefer OTR.

Never worked for them but in my 5 years of driving all of the KLLM drivers seemed to be happy with the company

How long do you have to be employed with kllm before you can take passengers with you? In my case, it would be my wife going with me.

If I remember correctly, you have to get thru your probational period (90 days) plus have no accidents.

Thanks Ledbetter.
I really like what I see on their website & they get plenty of good comments here, but...
I have been trying to reach the recruiter that my application was assigned to, every day this week with no luck & no call back from him. Each time I called, I did leave a message asking him to please return my call.
Finally when I reached him today (Thursday), he cuts me off before I can ask anything, and starts asking me several questions, then rushes me off the phone saying he will check my background and try to get me in orientation around the 12th. It was very disappointing to say the least.
If he had not cut it short & let me ask a few of the questions on my list, I could have saved him the trouble of running a background & everything else, because right now 90 days is too long for us. I will contact them tomorrow to see if it has been changed.
I am not dumping on KLLM, I will probably still go with them if the probation period has been shortened, but Im really not happy with the response I have gotten so far from this particular person.
/venting finished
