Losing its luster after about 4-months. Stop pay is nice but no way is it adequate compemsation for all the wasted time on the stops.
As usual for me I am ready to move on -
Which terminal are you based out of? -

no one around here seems to last long enough to get paid holidays, vacation, or good runs, the wasted time isn't much of an issue to me. I spent more time loading and unloading in the last 2 weeks than I have all year but got paid for almost 10 hours detention.
as usual just reporting the facts, miles are below average, started last week off with a good 750 mile run but it didn't deliver until Tuesday afternoon. 1900 miles last week, 2250 the week before. I could request longer runs but I want to be home as much as possible in the summer. I can work 4 days some weeks and make enough to pay bills or tell them I want to stay out 2 weeks, run to Laredo and make $1400. nothing that would make me quit, dispatch is easy to get along with and they have some great customers. I keep plugging away doing my job waiting for a dedicated run, there are advantages to staying there instead of working for a new company every 6 months.Lonesome Thanks this. -
I see there advertising for teams now, did they get a new account?

Not sure, but I think its because of EPES not wanting the traffic.
I'd take that Oregon run. Sounds like easy money. My wife already left, so it shouldn't be a big deal. -
I made that Laredo run last week. It was fun. My trainer didn't like it a whole lot. But, c'mon. You don't get to see a Mexican with a W900 with a Ghostbusters logo everyday, do you?
I'd do it again. And, they paid me. Texas roads are the shizzle, my nizzle.

stops are the most productive and least time wasting part of working here once you learn the system. I wasted a ton of time in the last 2 weeks sitting waiting to unload truckloads. probably 10 hours total. when I get an LTL load, I get stuff delivered or picked up. some places the dock plate is down and the freight is on the trailer before I even walk inside. I dread getting 8 pickups on the peoplenet as much as anyone else but it all pays the same in the end.
