uneventful 6 day week, left Sun night with a 4 stop LTL load for NJ Monday, got empty, dropped and hooked in Chester PA and hauled ### for Elkhart IN, then to Joliet IL to pick up a 5 stop LTL load, spent 2 hours dodging low bridges in Chicago, got empty in Waukesha, headed half way up to Green Bay to drop and hook and made a pickup on the way back to the Fort. sat at the Fort Thurs night into Fri for 16 hours, collected layover, thought I had a load home, nope, dealt with usual cheerful 6AM Keith. got a load home about 11am and home by 4. 2400? miles and more stops and accessory pay than I can list, $385 worth, this was an above average week for $1250 gross. I've been doing my best to work 4 days a week in the summer, 4 day week next week with Monday paid off.

    Lonesome Thanks this.

What speed are their trucks governed at? Also what fuel stops do they use? Thanks!

Trucks are governed at 65 and we use Pilot/Flying J's for fuel.

Just curious, do they tell you which one to stop at and how much fuel at each, or can you fuel at whatever one you want?

No they do not. I think you are limited to 480 some gallons a week, but I have never come close to that in my year and a half there. Cheeseman pretty much gives you the loads and leaves you alone. They don't dictate fueling or routes.

Thanks Jebster, I appreciate your help.

How are they as far as idling goes? Do they have diesel APUs? Seems a lot of carriers that don't have the opti idle crap or some bs about only idling above 70 and below whatever. I can handle the cold but I'll be ###### if I'm going to be uncomfortable in the heat. Even if it's 70 degrees outside at night that doesn't equal 70 inside a sleeper. Thanks again!

They do have APUs and the opti idle. It works very well. The trucks are set to only idle for 5 minutes after you stop.

The sleepers are comfortable year round, only time I had a problem was when it was -37 last January and the heater couldn't keep up. The battery APUs generally work pretty well and are quiet.

Hey guys I was wondering just how often do the drivers actually block those forklifts? I know you have to unblock them whenever you deliver but when you pick up those loads aren't they mostly preloaded?
