Re: A. Passmore & Sons - Springfield, Mo.

In that case any outfit associated with Prime is bound to be a giant rip-off.

BTW, if you knew all of that why didn't you just tell us the correct name? And if you knew all that then you know about my statement concerning Prime is true..........

I posted it AFTER I got to read all the other posts. And yes, i am familar with Primes' less than stellar reputation......that is why I want to know if anythign at Passmore has changed. I spoke with one driver and he says no. But that is just ONE opinion.

no worries......

I just talked to a recruiter from Passmore. (yeah I know, that terrible word "recruiter" ) I asked about Prime owning them etc......he claims that it is just financial and that a news letter was sent out to all 6 trucking compaines that basically stated that Passmore is a profitable company and is not to be messed with, blah, blah, blah.........I just hope that Passmore does not get the rep that Prime has.

Re: A. Passmore & Sons - Springfield, Mo.

Boilmaker sounds like a recruiter if you ask me, a Passmore recruiter. I never heard it sound so good, even thru in the my brother said.

Jim Passmore still runs the company, but Robert Low is the boss and owner and what Robert Low says goes. I know some of the guys in the office including Jim. They have run long hood Pete's for years and will be staying with the Peterbilts, just traded a bunch in for new ones. One thing bad at Passmore is their revolving door, that is the only thing that has triple digit speed. They have not figured on what it takes to keep drivers.

Nice trucks and equipment on that website.Hard to believe they are set at 72 top. Maybe not for older experienced drivers, some companies let us run as we want if you are responsible enough. Nice used trucks for sale there too.

Passmore and New Prime

I had a Q/C message a week or so ago that Passmore is now owned by NEW PRIME INC. but the way they described was Passmore out of Texas. I have seen some of their trucks at one of our regular drop yards in Grand Prarie Tx. I wonder if they are both the samne company?
