just finished orintation for koch trucking. its held in minneapolis mn at their main terminal. to start they flew me in which was an unexpected suprise, no grey dog for me was a good sign, my recruiter was honest and really did alot to help get me here. which i guess is to be expected from a recruiter but didnt feel the same as other companies i worked for. anyway got to the airport here and caught super shuttle to the hotel, all paid by company as was any expense u might incur from ur trip. and there was the next suprise, not a run down rat hole or just a decent motel. the ramada u stay in is very high class, internet really nice beds desk lots of room. not to mention u may have a double room but u bunk alone. coupons for breakfast and dinner are given u dont have to pay for a single meal if u dont want. the hotel restruant is not cheap but u can manage to eat for nothing.
the orintation is a 4 day event which does drag on but most of the people at koch are really good and make it as painless as possiable. u get $400 for orintation which a $100 is available on first dispatch, in my case got it a little early since was not getting dispatched till after christmas.
all in all im very impressed with them so far, the insurance offered for the first year was not great and that was the only complaint i heard from my fellow truckers in orintation.
i will try to update after i get my truck and get on the road and let yall know if they keep up the same standard for u when ur on the road but all the drivers i talked to here had alot of good to say about them so i do have high hopes.

I have heard some good things talking to other Koch drivers. I was at T/A in Ga,. getting some work done to my truck and a Koch driver had his truck in the shop also. He went on and on about how happy he was over there. Most companies are what you make of it, so good luck, and keep us updated.

Cool! Glad to hear something positive about a company out there. I am looking real hard for an honest company that is looking for someone that wants to work!! I will check them out!

so kind of off topic here...but is it pronouced.."COOK" or " KOCH" as in Ed koch the old mayor of New York. I've tried calling out to some of them over the years and either they didn't have the radio on or didn't realize I was calling to them
