I recently started working for Gypsum Express, I'm here to tell whoever's interested in a good company call'em up. They have all the bells an whistles, nice equipment, and a very friendly staff. Look'em up online, or call 866-660-7771 ext. 11 Rody Burk, and tell'em driver 4969 Ron H. sent you.

Do they hire O/O's with older trucks? Fladbed or van? Mileage or percentage? Their trailer or our own?
-
if your location is Clinton British Columbia then you are way outside of their op area.
-
Yes, that is my location, but I have a US driver in a truck who can run anywhere down there and lives out of the truck so no home base...

I've heard good things by word of mouth about Gypsum. I have a buddy who was gonna look into running out of the Alliquipa terminal. I unfortunately don't meet their experience requirement
-
I am not sure where all they hire out of. You can check the web site for that.
I know that they run mostly flatbeds. Thus the name of the company. Lots of drywall.
Plus you see them constantly on the NY turnpike with doubles hauling Budweiser trailers.
I have heard allot of good things about them. I applied a few years ago. But at the time they were not hiring in my town. But now they got a yard on 90 north of Erie and are hiring in my area again. -
im starting there next week. be running out of the baldwinsville terminal doing flats. i dont have quite a year expierence yet, everything ive heard has been good. i know u gotta live near a terminal or a customer to be hired.

Lets see if I can bring this thread back to life. I am being considered for a driving position with GE out of their Aliquippa yard and I was hoping that someone could answer a few questions for me?
1. What is their operating area, how far west and south does this yard go?
2. What do you haul other than sheetrock? Slinky's, lumber, coils?
3. How many miles do you get a week?
I'd appreciate the come back. -
Being a flatbed driver myself, I run into them quite a bit. They'll haul mostly anything that a flatbed will carry. I know that they don't haul much, if any steel coils. Most of their loads are tarp loads (Lumber, sheet rock, coated steel, etc.), so be prepared to handle those tarps twice a day.
I've never really talked to any of them but never seen a crowd of them sitting around complaining either. Equipment wise, it seems to be a mixed bag. Seen some nice new Internationals and then again, a lot of old freightshakers that's seen better days.TDriver4Life Thanks this.
