Re: Schnieder's Training

Slave for 18 months if you have no CDL and don't want to owe them.

Re: Schnieder's Training

First off Schneider is great!!! I signed with them and was in my own truck within about a month so right after training and final testing I had it!! Also their rule for taking the truck home is if you live less then 50 miles from an Operating center then you have to park it there otherwise you can take it home if you have a trailer then both go but other wise you bobtail which is tractor only.

Re: Schnieder's Training

I went thru Roehls orientation about 3 mos.ago.However they have the experienced and inexperienced in two different classrooms. So I dont know what their training program is like or how long it is.Going thru it as an experienced driver,it was a no BS right to the point orientation.I was there for 2 days, and I believe the newbies still had another day making it 3 days.Roehl paid for everything just like they said they would, motel, meals, transportation, etc.I dont know what the qualifications for new drivers are. However I do know they checked me out thouroughly, driving record, etc. If you are going to apply with them,it would be a good idea to be up front with them on your driving, and work history. You cant hide anything in todays world.

I will write in detail about Schnieder when I complete my week of orentation and get back home for a couple of days.

If anyone is thinking about going with a company that puts you through school, Schnieder is top notch. (If you have read my previous posting, you know I have something to compare it to.)

I will post again in 8 days.

BB KING...Thanks for your wonderfull posts!! I am new to this forum and been researching for months about what school to attend.
U have helped me so much! I was gonna go to Central R. In TX, but now I think I will apply for my school training from SNI.
I will still talk to one of their reps on Monday, but so far this is a great place to go to school ...so far so good. The only
think I do not like is that I can not have a rider with me until about 6 months after being hired. I am married, and wanted
to take my hubby with me over the USA as I worked. But.....well we will see....The benifits to going to a good school
and company can outway alot of my worries. My hubby and I can withstand the wait, we love each other very much. Ok..now for
some questions....I will list them here, and maybe you or others can help answer them:
1) Do they allow pets?
2) When does Dental Ins. Start?
3) How much money potential can I earn my first year?
4) How much will I make to start when becoming a solo driver....at 3 months....at 6...at 9..at one year?
5) I have a hubby who is 6 feet Tall...and I am no small gall myself, so what size are the beds? Can they acomadate 2 people
sleeping in the same bed....if ya know what I mean (smiles)?-I know..this is really 2 questions.

6) Can they PRE HIRE me...so I do NOT get all the way to school, only to have them reject me later for some unkown reason?

I see that many OTHER sChools, you have the "potential" of getting booted out of school for stupid things like they can
not verify past employment...or did not know UNTIL you went to school that you had a warrent...stuff like that. I want
NO surprises..and do not want to be sent home when I could of avoided it all together if they would of PRE QUILIFIED me
before I get to school. I am broke to begin with, and do not want to get to school to have them say bye bye to me and send
me home at my OWN EXPENSE with a bus ticket that I have to buy myself. I hope this makes some sense to somebody...(smiles)
Thanks for the help!!!!

Star Re: Schnieder National, Inc.

Well, just thought I would let ya all know that I was out on my way home from the store, and in a 30 minute time I was able to see 2 sni. trucks that looks like the paint was peeling from them both, one looked pretty dented...and then I saw a 3rd SNI truck that just got back ended by a diff. semi. Don't know what kind. But is was a bad day for SNI trucks ...It made me wonder if most of thier trucks look as bad as the 2 that I saw, or if it was just a coinsidence. Just wondering is all. Other than that, Most SNI looks pretty good I think. Just thought I would let ya all know what I saw yesterday. SMILES..

I just put in my application with Schneider. I will happily pay for a school that is worth while. Does anybody know about United Truck Driving School in San Diego?
