VOLVOS
The day I become jealous over a VOLVO is the day I stop driving. I would bet the Volvo will be in the shop more often than the CASCADIAS just like the old ones we used to have. Hick I would want a 13 letter mistake ( i.e INTERNATIONAL). Before a Volvo

Hey guys I was just wondering:
Is the Academy training 18 days straight with no days off? (please tell me it is)
Does DPS take credit or debit? cause on the paper work i recieved it says they don't but thats kind of hard to believe because everyone takes credit or debit today.

Thanks Playmaker, well I think I found my answer on the Texas DPS website but it contradicts what I have on my paper work. It's not a big a deal just curious I guess.
Commercial Driver License (CDL)
Requirements for All Applicants
NOTE: If your driver license is currently suspended, cancelled, or revoked in Texas or any other state, you are not eligible for a commercial driver license.
All first time applicants for a Texas commercial driver license must:
- Apply in person at a Texas Driver License office.
- Present documents that verify your Identity. Different documents are required if you are a U.S. citizen or have Lawful Presence. This may require you to present one or more documents at the driver license office. All information on each document you present must match. Additional documentation may be required to verify conflicting information, incomplete names and date of birth.
- Present proof of Social Security Number. If you do not have a social security number, a CDL cannot be issued to you.
- Meet the non-resident requirements if you are not a Texas resident.
- Present proof of Texas vehicle registration and liability insurance on all vehicles you own.
- Complete the application (PDF).
- Consent to be photographed, fingerprinted, and provide your signature at the time of application.
- Pass the vision exam.
- Pass the required written test for type of license you desire, including endorsements, A & B rules test (written), and skill tests in the appropriate vehicle (driving).
- Complete the Hazardous Material Endorsement Procedures.
- Pay the required fee with a credit card, cash, money order, or a non-temporary check.
- Provide a commercial motor vehicle for the driving exam, and present current liability insurance, Texas vehicle registration, and inspection for the vehicle.

Sorry guys I have the windows of my baby shut and I can't hear u in my ultra quiet cab that I cart hear my reefers or the trucks running next to me. And the water bottles from my built in fridge are nice and cool while I sit in my non idling climate controlled cab that runs off its own battery banks. 6 speaker stereo system works great 2. All in all she is a great truck that rides the smother out off all the other trucks in the fleet (drove them all). And spat I carry a yoga mat to keep my knees from being sore.

I like my manual trans. They need to stop making autos. Takes the skill out of it a bit. I would have to get paid real good to step into an auto.
