After we get on our trainer trucks for the 6 weeks(If we make it that far) can or does the trainer have the choice to say" Hey this student doesn't need 6 weeks _ weeks are plenty let em test out early?? I have my cdl and drove for 8 years but have been out of the seat for 4 years. I know i need to be refreshed but 6 weeks i am sure i won't need??? Just asking, tho i am willing to due 6 weeks if i have to.
Thanks in advance for ur time,
TJ

Being a trainer is ok. scared $@itless some times.
As for the 6 weeks out, everyone does it, no exceptions. Driving is one part but mastering e-logs, preserving your 70, learning the way FFE does things are what you are really taught.

and did you come in to the company with prior experience. people with certain amounts of experience only do the 2 week thing, usually with a local, instead of the 8 weeks.

I am so confused by everything in the industry. Trans Am wants me in Olathe KS. I just graduated CDL school in NJ. Is FFE just for ppl who dont have thier license yet? This forum seems to H8 every company. My instructor at Smith and Solomon say the guys making a living have no time to complain. What say you all. Maybe I just need to worry about it all after Brady kicks Manning around

Captain Pete..Welcome. Piney in Da House!
FFE is for ppl fresh out of school with a cdl, or with no exp or cdl.
Also exp drivers have to attend the school.
Tigger, Are you sure about that? Greg was telling me everyone has to go thru the Academy and do 6 weeks now. I will call Dave and find out, I dont want to give out false info or rumors here.
Capt Pete, dont forget, Complaints are Louder than Praises.
