I spoke with someone the other day and he said he liked the company . Said he was getting around 2700 to 3200 a week .Only complaint was he wanted more hometime but who don't. I talked to them got a pre hire just have to give a date to start,That is if i go . Its looking like one of the better choices i've looked at. Time will tell.
scottied67 Thanks this. -
I was a company driver for about 11/2 years. I ran over the road and covered regional runs when needed. I ran hard and made a really good living. They are a family owned company with a strong customer base. Owner operators are payed by percentage some pay over $2.50 per mile plus fuel surchage. I regret leaving the company.

and why did you leave....if you dont' mind me asking...
thanks in advance... -
I took about 1 day off for each week that I was out. Sometimes an extra day or two. I left after my truck left me stranded for 7 hours in sub zero weather without heat. Really a knee jerk reaction on my part. I do know that some drivers are on electronic logs.

sorry to hear that....are you still driving...??

Today is my first day at WEL...I have no idea what to expect..I have been here in WI since Friday waiting for this fisrt day!! Didn't get to much info from recruiter so going in a little blind!! I had also heard a good company, so I sure hope so!! It's realyy cold here at the moment...I'm from California..Right now just waiting on the person that picks us up at 7 am

I looked in wel...
They ended up as my second choice..
the one thing that bugged me was the lack of any type of school reimbursement, and what some folks said was paycheck holdbacks of $50 a week or so...so if you quit they keep it to offset the cost of training....not sure how it really works, but seems like they are covering their buts by taking your money....sure it sucks if a newbe quits, but most companies consider it to to be part of the risk of hiring newbie drivers.
Good luck....and atleast WI is a bit warmer this time of year. I went to another WI company in January ...it was cold/windy/ snowy ....consider yourself luck to be starting in late spring!! -
