Ok, Like I Promised I Started A Thread So You Guys Can Follow me Or I Can Awnser And Questions.

First Off, I Started Off The Beginning Of Feburary, my last company was a small fleet and badly maintained equipment. I had done the Lease Purchase Before Twice, 1st with Roehl Transport in 2006 and Then With Prime in 2008. AKA (Please Remenber I Mortgaged Everything). After my last company went to crap, I decided to go to Risinger. Now, I went into it thinking I was gonna get screwwed, because I thought It was a too good to be true type deal like most companies. Now, i'll Give you the heads up on what to expect.

    Orientation:
They pay you if you takev your own car $0.40 A mile to orirentation to travel, i got a $230.00 Check on my first settlement. Orirentation is 2 days monday and tuesday or wensday and thursday, depends which orirentation you get, both are the same. You also get paid $100 a day for orientation ($200 Total). They Put Up In The Baymont Hotel Next To the Cracker Barrel In Morton from Sunday to Wensday morning or longer if something doesnt go right( Drug test, Truck needs fixed, ect), It's has Free Wifi, Pool, Very Nice Rooms. In Orientation you are there from 7am or 8am to 4 or 5 pm depending on the day. They go over the basics but try not to give you stuff you been through before with other companies. They will feed you lunch and its real food not sandwichs. Breakfast is hot and ava. at the hotel. Dinners on you. On Tues or Thurs you go over your truck and look at any damage with Joe whos head of maintance, he's a great guy and always has your back and will help you anyway he can. On Weds or Friday After Drug Tests come back, your on the road.

    Trucks:
They Are All Condo 2006 Centurys ($400 Week, for 30 months) without APU's (you can buy one on your own but they wont finance it) or now they have Red Columbias from canada comming in with APU's terms are different than The Centurys, just dont know what they are. Average miles are 580,000 miles. 10spd Trans, 455HP Upgradeable to 515HP, Trucks are gov. at 74 MPH to reduce wear on engine, yes you will pass just about anyone still. You get a 30 day bumper to bumper Warranty thur cure and they fix everything at no cost to you during that time, and a transferable Platnum 2000 Plus Warranty of 3 years or 1 million miles on the Internal Engine, Transmission (Not Clutch) and Driveshaft and Rearends. They Are Financed/Leased From A Company Called Cure Leasing Out Of Georgia, Risinger Has Nothing to Do With The Trucks Only The Trailers Risinger takes Care Of. So, any problems you got with the truck you call cure only or risinger if cure is being stuburn, which litterally never happpens. they will tell you the truth even if you dont like it. If you come out on thursday and your dispatcher says dont expect much this week. he's not gonna tell you a lie, he's just being truthfull. I'd rather here the truth and get screwwed to my face, then get screwwed behind my back and not make it.

    Pay:
Pay is Loaded and empty. $1.01 Per Mile With Risingers Plate, $1.03 Per Mile With Your Plate or $1.08 With your own Authority. Fuel Surcharge Is At A Base Of $2.00 Per Gallon # 6MPG Currently It's $0.31 Per Mile Loaded and Empty. Comdata Fuel Cards, Fuel Discounts Of $0.10 To $0.50 A Gallon, I Average $0.20 Off Being I Go Through PA Alot.Oh, if you make below $500 a week for taking off or truck breaking down don't be surprised if payroll doesnt call you and offer to loan you money to pay your bills at home and just pay them back alittle every week to get you going again. ya they will surprise you.

    Extras:
Detention: $26 Hr in 15 min Intervals (just send in message and you will get it, just write it on the bills, ship/rec doesnt have to write the times just you.
Layover: $200 day after 24 hours, provided they didnt offer you a load and you didnt turn it down.

    Fuel Network:
Comdata Card Is locked To Pilots And Flying J's So you get you max discount. But, its your money they will open your card to anywhere that excepts comdata you just wont get a discount, so its your choice

    Miles and Area:
Low 2500 miles A Week, But they shot for 3100 Miles + in 7 days going home every weekend you will get like 2200, Area: Alot of Midwest alot south east OH, PA, NY, you will go into GA, AL, WI, IL, IN Every Week Litterally, Little to no New England, No NYC, long Island, Or Canada. Rarely West Of Kansas, But I have seen them in California, but its like 2 loads a year. They Do Run you alot though

    Operations:
24/7 365. lots of drop yards only terminal is Morton. Alot Of Dropyards

    Loads:
75% Drop and Hook, 100% No touch Freight, You Get Preplanned Through the nose, sometimes its hard to keep up with the loads. Tell your dispatcher if you cant do a load legally they wont force you to take it and will work with you on it. Alot of Uline (light Loads) and Paper Loads.

    Hometime:
It's Whatever you can afford to take off and when you want it. They are very good at getting you home on the day you need to be home on, but just tell them you want home the day before. They will preplan you out the best they can to get you as close to home as possible, and they try to load you through the house unless your taking like 4 days off then you go home empty.

I hope this help you guys it took me 6 months to ask drivers and ask questions to decide to come here. Thjey aren't Perfect but, they are the best your gonna get in this industry.:biggrin_25523::biggrin_25523: If you like the info, give them a call give them my info 888-225-0124, you'll like it better here than getting screwwed somewhere else, im not a recuriter, just a driver who has been through the ring and trying to help someone else get a leg up too. Hope this Helps,:biggrin_255:

Doesn't sound like a bad deal at all.

Do you spend much time hunting down an empty trailer after dropping? And have ya'll gone to electronic logs?

    Thanks

Crazypops, the first settlement is the week right after orientation, pay is every friday. Trips have to be del/qualcommed by midnight saturday/sunday you dont have to have the paperwork transflo'd until you get a chance, they are on the honor system, as long as you del. your last load by saturday you get paid for it.

I see on the other thread that B2K left Risinger after he seemed so happy. Have you run into any of the same problems?

So you already tried lease purchase twice in the past and for whatever reason it didn't work out and you don't work for either of those companies anymore or own the trucks. Why are you trying it again why do you think it will be different this time? Why not be a company driver and save money and get a truck on your own?

I recall BK2 mentioning somewhere in his thread that Risinger holds drivers responsible for flat trailer tires. I know at my company I find trailers tires that are low on air, air them back up, and yet they still explode 1 to 200 miles down the road, fortunately I am a company driver so they pay for the repair and breakdown pay while waiting for the tire to be replaced.

As a lease op that alone could put you into negative numbers on your pay settlement. Please post the details about this "policy"
so others may know what they may be letting themselves in for.

If I might ask...why did you leave your lease with Roehl back in 2006 and Prime in 2008? Just wondering?
