So much for keeping where I am now leased onto a secret because everybody already figured out who it is. Started orientation on 4/14 so been here almost a month now. I really like the company. They hire company drivers and owner operators and lease trucks. Leasing a 2010 Sandstone (tan) T660 with a Cummins and 13 speed. It is mine after 46 months with a $10000 buyout. Get paid .98 per loaded mile and .90 per empty mile plus fuel surcharge of .46 right now on all miles. So far I have been paid for 7200 miles and made taken home $4491 which is .62 per mile which includes the $500 of the $1000 sign on bonus I got. Without the sign on bonus I have made about .55 per mile. Pretty much all I have done is ran around the midwest.

Orientation starts on Mondays and you get dispatched on Thursday morning. They normally get you there on a Greyhound but I said no to that so they paid my rental car which was a nice 2010 Volvo S80. They put you up at a Holiday Inn Express which you don't have to share a room. They pay for physical and drug screen. They have more than 3 trailers for every truck so we do alot of drop and hooks. They also give you a choice of 3 loads if it is a decent freight area.

    Trips so far

    Kansas City,Mo to Lafayette,In
    Indianapolis,In to Tunica,Ms
    Union City,Tn to Dekalb,Il
    Batavia,Il to New Brighton,Mn
    Bloomington,Mn to Kansas City,Mo
    St Joseph,Mo to Lexington,Tn
    Brownsville,Tn to Shelby Township,Mi
    Marysville,Oh to Vance,Al
    Gadsden,Al to Lockbourne,Oh
    Florence,Ky to St Joseph,Mo
    Kansas City,Mo to Cincinnati,Oh
    Indianapolis,In to St Joseph,Mo
    Kansas City,Mo to Geneva,Il
    Elk Grove Village,Il to Louisville,Ky
    Louisville,Ky to Olathe,Ks
    Kansas City,Ks to St Bernard,Oh
    Florence,Ky to St Joseph,Mo
    Kansas City,Mo to St Bernard,Oh
Getting ready to pick up another Florence,Ky to St Joseph,Mo load

Delivered in St Joseph then had a choice of 3 loads all about the same miles but this one picked up and delivered the earliest. Deadheaded to Des Moines,Ia and picked up going to Beloit,Ks and deliver at 8am.

Also with this truck so far I am getting a tad over 7.3 mpg. Sure adds extra money to the pay check and it has an Tripak APU and bunk heater. Does not cost any extra for them either.

$602.16 a week for mine for 46 months with a $10000 buyout at end. Mine is a 2010 T660 that had 105000 on it when I got it. Comparable trucks are going for about $100000 on the market. After every 6 months you get a week without a payment to use whenever you want or don't use it and bank it and it will make your payoff earlier. I am going to use the first 2 free weeks summer of next year to take 2 weeks when me and my girlfriend go on the Alaskan cruise we have booked.

Pretty much each truck has a different payment depending on how much time is left on it and how many miles are on it when you get it I believe. The 2 guys who went to orientation with me both got 2007 T600's with about 400k miles on them and one of theirs was 18 months at $579 with a $7500 buyout at the end.

It is not as good of a deal as you can get to buy from a dealer but overall it is not too bad. There is a heck of alot worse lease deals out there.

Delivered in Beloit,Ks then loaded in Mc Pherson,Ks and dropped it at KC yard because there was too much time on it. Picked up a load that was dropped at KC and took it to Ft Wayne,In. Then loaded in Wabash,In and delivered in KC,Ks. Reloaded at same place I delivered going to St Bernard,Oh which I deliver later this morning. Third time in last 2 weeks I have done this load.

So far I have averaged right at 3000 miles a week. This past week was 3800 miles. I actually have not done one Petsmart load yet. Have done alot of Johnson Controls loads and about 4 loads of tires.

Today once I was able to see my settlement for Friday I ran some numbers through my calculator. Since I left orientation on March 17th I have been paid for 13057 miles and taken home $7277.13 which means I have taken home .55 per mile. That is after .07 per mile is deducted for my maintenance account. So far fuel has cost me .585 per mile total.
