Does anyone know anyone who drives for Hobby Lobby?

    Just curious.

i'm trying to figure out the same thing. Does anyone know who has that account? Or do they have their own in-house fleet? (don't think so though)

They have their own fleet. I used to know some drivers but have lost contact with them. They said it was a very good job.

They use to be and I am not for sure if they still are but they run all teams out of OKC (main warehouse) except for local drivers. Not for sure what they do out of Texas. I called them back in 2004 or 2005 but thought the pay and Bennie's was on the low side. That could have all changed. They run all new equipment and it is always clean. The man that started and runs it today is one of the wealthiest men in the US but he is tight with the money. He is a religious man also and all his stores are closed on Sundays. His son has a chain of Christian book stores.

My oldest son works at Hobby Lobby in OKC (repairs/maintains electric and hydraulic lifts, conveyors, etc) and I've talked to their safety guy in the past - one of those jobs where there's very little turnover, unlike the rest of the trucking industry. Local slots are non-existent, and OTR slots are pretty rare, too.

I just started driving for them. Really impressive company. Basically the short of the job is all routes are team run from OKC to their stores only. You'll deliver 2 stores a week, then home 2 days. They and all the drivers get set routes, same stores every week, after a couple of months. Best equipment I've ever seen. They have their own shop and mechanics and keep the trucks. Benefits, insurance, and pay all tops. They have a FREE clinic on site in OKC. No charge for employees. I will try to keep this thread updated and check back periodically to answer questions. Definitely ask any driver you catch fueling at a Love's.

As of September 1st: .24 cpm team. .36 single. Solo and local positions stay filled pretty much. Half cent raise per year. Hub miles paid1st drop 15.00. Team split. Each drop after, 30.00. Teams split. If a store delivery is more than 900 miles from OKC, then there's an extra .02 cpm for the trip (no ssplit). Exp. OKC to Kissimmee FL posted 1300 miles. Total trip 2600. My pay rate is .24 cpm, but because the store was over 900 miles I got paid ,26.
