I only drive dry van side, but from my understanding(talking to a few tanker drivers) most of them get home either every weekend or every other weekend, depending on where they live.

They also have really nice newer trucks.

Thats all I can tell ya LOL

I was wondering the same thing. My Penney's account is closing down.

Why is Schneider dropping JC Penny's? Or is it not their choice? Just curious.

I'm looking into it as well...

Heard they are paying salary right now...

Also, the common work days in the oil fields here in Texas is on 4 off 2. Schneider will probably be same....

JC Penney's has decided to close down the warehouse in Plainfield, IN among others nationwide. I know it affects Schneider drivers here and in another account in the northeast (though I cannot remember which one.) It's not Schneider's decision, and the decision is not to choose another carrier over Schneider. The real estate company put up an "Available" sign recently. I was holding out hope that they may change their minds, but when I saw the sign, I knew there was little chance of that.

I am a new hire on the oil field account for Schneider. Yes, they are paying salary on this account. Depending on where you go, yes, you MAY be home at night but it depends on where you work and when they need something. You will drive Schlumberger 8 speed Petes. And this is a 24/7 on-call work. Hope that helps everyone.
