There are TONS of up to date threads on TMC. Many people have done day to day threads on orientation. Including myself.

 

Congratulations on being accepted for consideration!! I don't have any first hand knowledge, so I'll just point you in the direction on some reading.

While I did not get accepted, probably due to my age, and felt bad about that, I still think that they are a good company. I spent a lot of time researching them over the previous 4 months or so.

 

just do your best and don't listen to the (seasoned trucker's tall tales) in the drivers lounge.be safe use three point contact when climbing on trailer.

 

As long as you do as they ask work hard but safe you'll do fine. All the junk about the orientation being extremely hard and a lot of the guys not making it because of that is crap. 90% of the guys that get cut are because of drug tests. I've seen them accept guys that can't drive at all and veterans that can't backup to save their life get hired. Don't listen to the others at orientation. Find out for yourself and keep to yourself. They really are a great company the guys that complain just couldn't handle it. I made a lot of money with them. Just remember if you have anissue and your fleet manager doesn't do anything he's probably the problem. Just ask for a new one. I have 4 young kids. So only home on the week ends was killing the wife. I work for a steel mill in eastern pa. Home every night paid health care with a pension and 401k. Hell ya. Miss the road every day though. I loved every second of it. I put in five years there and never really had an issue.
