Ive seen people actually smuggle their pets where i work (i mean people love their critters and i feel for them)
BUT,as i understand it,if you are caught (or ratted out) the owner will put you out of the truck on the spot regardless of where you are on the continent and you're on you own.

    C. R. England lets you have pet fish! Well unless they find out.

Interstate distributor company with terminals in Lebanon tn and Tacoma wa allow 2 pets per truck. On the company side... $700 per pet non refundable deposit taken in $50 installments. When they put us in a new truck they did not charge us another deposit but we keep our truck fairly clean and our dogs don't eat seats. I think their is a weight limit on the dogs and certain breeds are not allowed. They have dog runs at these two terminals. I believe they allow cats also but not sure on this. I know I've seen a driver walking his cat a terminal. You need 1 year exp driving to work for them. We took our dogs to orientation with us and left them in the smaller kennels inside the dog run during the day and the hotel was pet friendly. This was at Lebanon and in october so it was neither to hot or too cold for a long stay outside. Tacoma has a smaller run with no smaller kennels inside of it. IDC is very pet friendly. I see a lot of Fidos at the yards.
I drove for Conway truckload in 2010 and they allowed me a dog. 1 per driver. They did not have kennels at their terminals back then.
in 2007/2008 I drove for Ozark motor lines out of Memphis tn and they allowed me to bring my dog. Don't remember the stipulations, sorry. This may have changed so call them for details. a lot of companies have done away with allowing a pet to go with you. I believe they want you to have 3 months exp driving to work for them.
Good luck! I love my puppies and they are a real blessing to have with me out here so I understand you wanting updated information.

Ozark charges $250 pet deposit at $50 a week. No pit bulls or Rottweilers. No charge per mile like these bottom feeders are hitting you guys with.

Update - Knight now allows pets, not sure on the details. Guess they see a benefit to allowing the driver to have a companion starve with them.

Central Refrigerated allows pets for l/o and Company drivers. 500 non refundable deposit, and thats it, no weekly/mile deductions. I dont believe there is any restrictions on breed, etc. Some of our customers say not pets at all, some say no pets outside the truck, but if you hide in the bunk, no biggie. I havent had a customer search my truck yet. Also, our SLC, Utah terminal has 6? kennels. I know our new Rochelle, IL terminal doesn't, but I am going to suggest they look into it. Im not sure about our other terminals, havent been to those (fontana, CA and Conley, GA)
