All the drivers won't have to be tested at the same time . The drivers that require it will find out during regularly scheduled physicals .

 

If they do it a year from now there's a good chance that physical report will be sent electronically to your state DMV and recorded on your CDL . No more trying at other doctors if one doesn't qualify you .

 

Rick has a point...but again its the Carriers decision not to qualify the driver due to neck size right now...... There really isn't even a proposed rule coming out of DC just yet......
My Carrier doesn't care.....hell I had to do the same pre employment screening with Van Wyk like I did with Roehl.....and trust me I shouldn't of had that big cup o coffee and a big ### breakfest either.....cause it sent my BP through the roof...but it didn't matter what my BP or Heart Rate was...just as long as I could perform the Tasks....

 

BMI testing around the neck is such a crock of ####. On paper and technically speaking, they should do the size of neck - the size of waist (just below the belly button). plus height and weight added in... if you are in great shape, your neck could be as big or bigger, then if you are just fat. and for woman they need to measure butt, and wrists also. the average neck size for a guy is around 15in, and average for a female should be 13....

 

Hi there from another lady trucker. I hope you are still with Roehl and doing well. That was the first company I went to and didn't pass the agility exam. They didn't even let me finish it. I couldn't lift the big duffle bag over my head "correctly" and so I failed the agility test. I was there and gone the same day. SO disappointed. That bag was big enough to put me into it curled up. I'm 5ft. tall. lol At Schneider, they use the same company, but use a smaller, but same weight bag and I didn't have a problem with that.

 

my company had the same test...with the same company...but it was more of an evaluation...rather than a pass/fail...because my BP shot through the roof thanks to all the eggs, potatos, and bananas I had that morning...lol...not to mention the coffee OJ and one energy drink......LOL...
