Oh, make sure u bring as much money as possible. Especially Florida people. The fees for Florida CDL test are over 200$ and they require cashiers checks. Don't overpack. Be mindful to pack for cold weather and sunny weather. Laundry machines at hotel are t exactly cheap. Costs about 5$ for 1 load.

Traini g continues to go well. My apologies if I'm posti g the same tho gs multiple times I'm just trying to be thorough. The program here is 3 weeks. U stay here for 2 weeks with the 1st week having early morni gs and the 2nd week being on the night shift 1800-0500. Also if ur here during a holiday, for e ample thanksgiving ur off for that day.

    Ill keep the updates coming.

    good luck Marky

P.S. Relief and recovery is the only way to make money there, try to get on after your training is done.

Hey if you don't mind me asking, what exactly did you bring for clothing? What was the breakdown as far as quantity, etc.? I know space is limited and from what I understand it should all fit into a duffel. Not sure how accurate that info was...

Curious as, if all goes well, I would be going to a Swift academy in under a month or so.

Good luck with the training and appreciate the info.

i brought all my "nice" clothes, as well as some comfy and lounging clothes. bring warm clothes. pack for weather, be prepared, just dont overpack. remember to dress nice cuz swift is very keen on how u dress. there are laundry machines and a dollar store u can get detergent and softener from, but the machines cost 2.00$ to wash and 2.50 to dry for one load. try and get a good big duffel and bring a backpack or a small duffel. bring a warm sleeping bag as swift uses omni idle and does NOT use APUs or allow inverters.

other than that its been going pretty well. going to the night shift tonight. about 5pm to 5am. hopefully the range will be well lit but im not optimistic. finally just got a wifi signal in the study/laundry room. the hotel DOES have wifi but it can be spotty and its only in certain areas like near the office as thats where the source is. dont even bother with the computer they have near the front desk. very slow. it DOES have a printer however.

get as many hours on the range as you can as u need 35 in order to go to ur states assigned terminal to begin road training.

    DocWatson Thanks this.
