Thank God the old outlaw cowboy days are over. That's not a bad thing. I'm a 3rd generation driver. I remember those days.

I was just trying to do that very thing this morning. It seems the "Obama" won't allow us to see what the actual list of the top 10 or 100 companies are anymore. It takes an act of congress to get the list.

I sent an email to "The Trucker" magazine and got this response:

    Go to this website:

    http://safer.fmcsa.dot.gov/CompanySnapshot.aspx

You’ll have to enter the name or DOT number of the company for which you are looking. After you find the company for which you are looking, a general information page will come up. In the upper right hand corner of the page, you see a link to SMS results. Click on that and you will go to the page with the CSA scores.

Here is an updated ever-popular 'the good, bad, and the ugly' in order of best to worst. The updated CSA scores for May 2013 in the vehicle maintenance and condition category. The lower the score the better. This does not include the private fleets or LTL, this is truckload only. The good bad and the ugly pertains to vehicle maintenance and quality of equipment, it doesn't reflect all the categories of their CSA scores.

    THE BEST:

    10.7% Heartland Express

    THE GOOD:
