I haven't posted a picture before so I'm going to see if this works. Heartland just finished bringing on 1,000 new trailers, and now they are buying another 1,000 and trading out anything older. This is the new design on their special edition trailers. I don't know if the picture worked or not, but on the side of the trailer it has a beautiful American flag and says It takes the heart of a trucker to move this country. I am proud to have these trailers at my company and I like what this says to people around the country who see them. There are too many people who just don't get it, and too many people outside of trucking trying to make it harder for truckers. I think the message on the trailer speaks for itself.

Pretty cool looking! Heartland always did have good trailers.
-
Will Heartland revert back to cummins engines in their prostars or stick with maxforce.
KH -
They just announced a deal to buy more pro stars and also are buying some Freightliners with Cummins 15L and some of them will have a Detroit Diesel 15L.
-
What's wrong with the MAXXFORCE?...Nothing...Reliable, great engine that pulls well & sips fuel. Cummins is a great motor as well, so comparing them other than bottom line profitability is mute. Time & real life data will offer up great buying decisions for those buying these configurations.

What I like best about Maxxforce is it is so quiet. My neighbors don't even hear me when I come home
-
The max force is quiet. But with the program that heartland uses is not too reliable. We have ALLOT of issues with breakdowns at way to young an age. The new prostars are supposed to have the Cummins 15 liter and the Freightliners have the DD15.
So should have better pulling power. -
I picked up a couple of new trailers out of Lafayette Indiana, and retired one in Indianapolis.
They do rotate their equipment, which cuts down any breakdown time.
My 1st tractor was the XLS cummins, which had serious miles on it, and after it broke down on me for a "meet" I picked up a Maxforce that was left in Louisville KY.
That was swapped out for another maxforce in Iowa City because the 1st had too many code violations which I failed to understand what that was about it was running well.
The 2nd one did the job also both were in the 4600 numbers.
I had no problems.
Still at Ruan, and their getting "prostar day cabs", not with the max force.
The 1st ones to come in are terrible for the ride, their nothing like the sleeper units at Heartland.
