Sorry me and the wife teamed over there for five years before retiring and we do highly recommend them. Lots of miles ,good home time ,team only. If you don't like to run hard or your lazy don't go there. best equipment on the road. Round a week from Arkansas to Calif. to N. J. area and back to Arkansas. Danny

Well you would be wrong about this one. Mark used to pay his drivers well and most generally only ran team operations from AR to CA and back ran chickens out and produce back to Wal Mart. HE paid as well as any one else and had some fine equipment and had some pretty good benefits as well. But he was very picky about who he hired so he got a bad rep from some of the drivers he turned down because they were the kind that didn't respect the equipment or the business. I ran allot with them and the guys from the old John Christner back when JC had the long nose pete's. It was a different time then but he treated his drivers well.[/quote

Now I could be wrong but from what I've seen of companies with trucks like those that usually turns out to be the case. Anyone ever seen those D.J. & P. 379's that run out of Knoxville, TN? The shiny ungoverned Petes? I heard one of their drivers talking on another channel to another driver late one night about how "I've been driving for 30 years.. I can't drive a slow truck.. this company is good, but I only make 20 cents a mile, and I hardly ever get any sleep..." Now what person in their right mind would work for such a shoddy outfit? So if you don't care for working smart and are more concerned with what everyone thinks about your cool ride then it's probably a good place to be. Now I could have it all wrong and somebody correct me if I do but I'd bet a dollar to a donut I'm right on..
No solo team only They pay by your experience. More like topping out at 46 cents.6000 miles a week .two weeks out 1 week home. Danny

Just because you have lived in the things as they are now don't pass judgment on the past and the way they were back then.
. If you weren't the best you didn't work for Julian Martin.

I tried to call dispatch, never an answer. Parked the truck, went to Fuel desk and they told me what happened. Fuel had to be paid before the truck can move, and they didn't care how I get home, not their problem,so I gave him (1) set of keys, and went to eat. After they forgot about me,I went to the truck, fired it up with my other keys, and hauled ##### home. Tried to cash my paycheck at the bank and the bank manager says there was a stop payment deal on my (3 week saved) check.
Took me over a month to get it cashed, anyway, always carry 2-3 sets of keys with you,and be careful about this remaining company.
Rising fast was Mark's sisters company. They could not put the co. back together after that driver did a u-turn on I-40 at Brinkley Arkansas and that bus hit him.

I worked for Julian Martin five year's he never paid parentage you turn around from Jersey area to Ca. and return every 5 to 6 days Team Only. You work two weeks on one week off. He run relief driver's and when you were home the truck made another round. You always drove the same truck unless you were a relief team.
When you pulled into the yard in Searcy unless it was on a weekend you were paid whit in an hour.
Julian was one of the finest and fair man in 40 year's trucking I ever worked for. So if you know nothing about the man just don't say anything . Danny and Sandy Arkansas

Monford couldn't run with a J Mar express truck . The only reason Monford got that reputation was because 75% they when home empty and anyone can run fast uphill with an empty wagon. Danny
