Well, made it to my delivery this evening. Very quiet and off the beaten path, some good sleep is in my future. Finished the month with around 11k so that'll add another .01 on all my miles this month. I expect a better month in April, especially as far as the fuel bonus goes. Came very close this month, wind hurt me early this month.

We'll see what tomorrow brings. Be safe all.

    GO BUCKY!

What kind of fuel mileage do you have to achieve to get a bonus? I am sure glad we do not have such a program since I am hovering around 5mpg. Last month I was running about 4.5mpg. It is nice that it has warmed up and I get to shut the truck down occasionally. I will idle in the remote areas just to make sure I wont hear the deadmans click in the morning. Fuel is a lot cheaper even at almost $6.00 a gallon than a service call if I can't get it jumped off the reefer.

Good to hear you doing good. I was home for the weekend and will head out tomorrow evening again. I was out for 12 days and burned through my 70 twice. Those 15 hrs driving days up North demolish your 70 really quick. Luckily I only have to swing doors and don't have to do the tarp and chain routine. On my last trip I backed into the dock with doors closed and they opened the doors, loaded me, installed bulk heads and load locks and sealed the trailer all from inside the building. I never saw the product and the same at the offload location. I did check for my bulk heads and load locks before I left the drop location.

Fuel bonus starts at 6.5 (.005 cpm) and tops out at 7.0 (.03 cpm) with a half cent increase for each tenth in between. I ended this month at 6.4, go figure.

Delivered this morning in Canyon Country, CA and before I was empty, received my next load offer that picked up in Orange, CA going to Woodland, WA for Wednesday. Called dispatch and let them know that I could deliver on Wednesday, but I'd be at the receiver until Thursday because I would have zero hours after I emptied. They said no problem and that I could deliver first thing Thursday morning. Works for me. Gonna call in tomorrow to see if I can get an out and back so I can get my reset back on schedule and take care of a few things at the casa.

    Be safe all.

I don't know what kind of trailers they have, but you can also use straps on coils. A lot of people dont know that.

#####, WK! I get too busy and/or lazy to post for 3 mos, and you go trying to break yourself, quit and change fleets, all while running the rubber off the tires! I can't leave you unsupervised anymore! :biggrin_25513:

    A. Welcome to the Western 11 semi's! (Technically I'm W-11, Occasional-48 & Canada... but I've only been north and east twice, each.)

    B. January was killer for me, too! Just barely missed the .03 prod. bonus, and only missed out on safety bonus cuz I kissed a pole at a shipper's obstacle course... er, loading bay. No fuel bonus @ 6.4.

    C. Feb sucked for just over 8k miles. Several customer and maintenance issues. Oh well. I don't count on having a great month when it's that short, cold and windy.

    D. Mar was great again bcuz 1- I got moved from #591 to #721! You're dead right about the extra 10"! It makes for about 35 cubic feet of extra living space. Do you want an upper bunk for the cargo space or for passenger? Cuz I made an easy, great shelf between the rear storage bins on the walls. Two closet poles, one wire shelving unit and several heavy duty cable ties. 2- I got just over 10,500 mi. Thats TWO months out of three, over 10k! I NEVER had a 10k mo in my year+ with Roehl. 3- Health insurance kicked in!

I'm currently in Wheeler Ridge on my way to Rialto in the morning. I don't know what's next, bcuz unlike you, I don't bother to inquire ahead of time; I like the surprise! :biggrin_2559: Really, I dont want to feel like I'm pestering them. And it has almost always worked out fine. lol In my 4 mos here, I have not sat and waited for a load any longer than 30 min, and even then it was less than an hour, and I didnt mind the nap I took while I waited. We seriously do have some competent people working like devils in the background!

I'm not supposed to be going home until Sun cuz I have Dr's appts. on Mon & Tue. But I only have 31 hrs left on my 70, until Mon morn. I will find out tomorrow how they want to work it. They have not let me down yet!

Holy crapola its late. Lol Gotta get some winks b4 6 or my day will feel unnecessarily long!

ABS in Rialto suck egg nuggets! I've been here for 2 hrs and they just started unloading. Received my next trip on the way here that has an 8am appt tomorrow in Tracy. Not gonna make that! I'm barely going to get to shipper in South Gate in time if this yahoo doesn't figure out how to operate the forklift soon...

So I just read in their latest recruiting ad they are paying drivers $100 if they are not dispatched within an hour of being empty. Sounds nice, hopefully its true, would be a good motivator to keep you guys rolling

Can't say if it's true or not, but the again, I've never waited more than 15 minutes for another load.

It's about time you made it back. I was loading today with #591 in Philomath, OR and passed him after we got on the 5 headed south.

Delivered this morning in Woodland and then was told my next load picked up in Philomath at 1400 so I could swing by the house for a couple of hours. Don't have to tell me twice. Picked up, strapped down, and headed down to the rest area just south of Central Point. I'll be delivering in Ontario Monday morning, I'm gonna call tomorrow to see how early I can get worked in. Looks like KF7 and I'll be crossing paths tomorrow. Trying to make it to Wheeler Ridge tomorrow and then Ontario on Saturday.

    Be safe all

I'm glad Kenworth was able to fix the mysterious and massive coolant leak in 591.

I love our planners! They got me home with a pipe load to Sparks, next door Reno. And Dustin asked me if I had a preference for leaving back out on Wed! I asked him to send me far and wide, back east or south somewhere.
