After asking around and communicating with "Tow614", I've decided to start a thread on the 2 companies (Big G Express and SouthEast Carriers). I pretty much got ALOT of info from Tow614 but wanted to see if there were more drivers out there that
has had good experiences from the companies listed. I currently have orientation with SEC on Thursday the 15th with SEC but just applied to BGE so Im crossing my fingers that BGE gives me the green light BEFORE my orientation day with SEC.

Any drivers wanting to chime in on one of the 2 companies (or both) then feel free to give your thoughts and opinions on the 2 companies....

I was thinking the same thing. The only BGE driver I've had the time to communicate with is "Tow614" from the forums on here but from what he told me, pretty much sold me. I did read some bad things about BGE off of Google but most of those were from drivers that drove for them around 2007 mainly. Im "assuming" they've cleaned up their act because all reports now seem to be positive (kinda reminds me of the way SouthEast Carriers report a bad company forum started out). Thanks for your input T_Trucker and be safe out there!

Either one looks to be good companies man, so I think you'll be happy with both! What is the start pay at both? And cap?

Don't hold me to it buy I think SEC starts at .37 per mile (with experience) and BGE starts at .40 per mile with 5 or more yrs experience. Just filled out application with BGE and it might be the one im going to pull the trigger on.

And if health insurance is important to you then Big G is a slam dunk. I know that's why Tow left SEC.

    Good luck!

I'd go with Big G all day long. Add another employee owned company to the mix; J and R Shugel. You couldn't go wrong with both.

I've been with Big G for a little over two years now and I'm VERY happy here. They treat their drivers very well. The level of respect that I get as well as concern for my needs as a driver are far above the average for this industry. I drove solo for them most of my time here, but I got married last October and I've been teaming with my wife since then. Feel free to PM me if you have any specific questions.
