I just graduated from school on Aug 23. I narrowed my decision down to Averitt Express and Roehl Transport. Reading the forums, you have stated that both of these companies are good to work for. I'm in Nashville Tn and Averitt's terminal is right down the street. My question is which one of these companies would probably give you the most miles in my domicile? I've been offered a job by both of them and getting mileage is very important right now. I don't want to be sitting around all the time. The recruiters have been telling me that they can give me miles, but I rather hear it from the truckers mouth. Your comments have and always be appreciated. Thank you
Averitt Express

look in the motor carriers section for info on Averitt--it will answer many if not all of your questions.

Thanks for your reply. The miles are not there at Averitt, must be slow everywhere. I'm starting training with them Tuesday. Hope freight picks up.

I have been averaging around 3000 a week for Roehl the last two months since I got out on my own. Others say they don't get as much, but what I do know, is I see Averitt trucks a lot more than most anymore.
As they say, your mileage may vary -
Don't go Averitt. U won't get the miles you want.

different but you will learn all truckload companies lie. i realize you are new but recruiters lie really bad. afterall if averitt was such a good company they wouldn't need drivers would they. long story short if you want a real job get into ltl. -
then when they realize your not going to quit for a whilw they will treat
you lijke crap. take my advice i worked there for 13 years. most of the
drivers average around 1800 miles a week..beware of orientation be sure
and wear some deep shoes bacause they will blow smoke for three straight days like i said before any company that recruites drivers is not
a good company. if you notice the good companies never loose drivers. -
