that was one of the better posts regarding a company i've seen here.you have a positive attitude, have the sense to get things ready before you start running, and you know what the job consists of.keep that attitude even when they(dispatch) p### you off,and you'll do well in this industry.i would bet you would have done equally well at any company-even J.B.Hunt,Swift,England,etc !!!!!

Thanks Pope

I appreciate the insight about TransAm. Like you, I live in FL and plan on getting a GPS for my birthday of this year. I do have to ask if they let you go to regional right away or do you have to be there awhile? Also, what equiptment do the majority of new drivers get?

Hunter

There's a waiting list, for the florida FAC fleet. I applied right after, testing out, but there are plenty of opening for, N.C. fleet.

having worked as a manage of a department of a real estate condo company, i guess i use some of the stuff ive learned thru out the years in the corporate world with the trucker world. you tend to be more understanding of the office workers when you've been there. thanks for the kind words.

one of the guys that i met while he was training applied for regional right out of training and a month later he was in the florida fac. it all depends how long the list is. to be honest with you, sometimes i miss running around the country but getting home more often, even if its for the night is well worth it. you get to remember why you do this job in the first place when you see home a little more often.

Well I like TransAm and they are my 1st choice who I would start out with before I apply to Crete or SNI. Do most of the trucks have APU's?

I would read though the good and bad trucking company sections of the forum, there are a lot of great info and first hand experience in those pages.
