I didn't drive any truck for a year and I was pulling my first load at May 3 days after I stepped foot on Mays property? Who told you this?
Not sure who it wsa that I talked to, but she said that I needed 40 hours refresher and a letter stating that the refresher course has been completed.

No way I'm spending more money on schooling when I just got out of a truck about two months ago.

How much time did you put in at your last OTR Job? If it was less then 3-6mos some companies won't take you if you have been out of the truck more then 30 days. At least that may explain why they want you to refresh.

Yep, that is exactly the case. I was only out one month. Trying to get a house sold and had to deal with a sick 4 year old (plus the wife in night school) kept me from staying out. I got home on September 2nd.

Hmmm.....

May recruiter just called me today. Says not to worry about the 40 hour refresher. Maybe get a day driving in to polish up and come out to their 3 day orientation. Said I could possibly get home during time out if I'm running into SoCal, which is highly likely. Maybe a 10 or two, and if I'm lucky, a 34. Three weeks out, two days hometime is normal. .30 to start. Petes and Freightshakers. All 13's. The recruiter (Leona) was on the road for I believe she said 15 years. Told me not to worry about the 13's, just shift em like a 10 and use the splitter when doing hills, just like MGASSEL (or was it Blue) said. Pass the roadtest and go out with trainer for I think she said 5 weeks, or whenever he feels I'm ready.

Debating.........
