Then I would do it again and it wouldn't be right because I had a chance to rest. I would lift a 60lb bag of sand for all the lifting tests, even the 30lb tests and do the squats. I would test but then get an error so I would do the exercises again and get an error. I think I did these exercises four times and for good measure on the last test I ran around the pool five times and then I finally got a good measurement but it was 161bpm, my limit is 149. I think because I repeated the test so many times without resting and then running I registered higher. When I take the test at SNI I'll be starting from 78 bpm and the test will be a little easier then what I did.
Yeah I think you'll be okay imo. First of all you do a test, they take your pulse, then they demonstrate the next exercise, then you do it and they take your pulse again. So there is probably a two minute delay between each one. Also like Ziggystyles said, there is no requirement that you do the tests fast or whatever, take your time, go very slow if you want and you'll be fine. my pulse didn't spike until I only had two excercises left to do...just take your time, no one is rushing you at all. Do whatever you can to make the wait between exercises longer.

Schneider's pay

What really happened was that I was handed a form during training that was an 'opt out' for the Per diem. They automatically enroll you in it. I was told I couldn't opt out until after my road training, which I did. Yet every single paycheck is at the per diem rate which is lower! When I asked why it was still like that I was told "it probably stops at the end of the quarter"....what a crock!

I was also told that the $500 minimum "went away". When I asked how something guaranteed to me in writing could just "go away"? I was told by my DBL that it just "went away"....no real explanation. This was confirmed on almost every paycheck which was under $500.

My first solo paycheck with Schneider was for $291...pretty pathetic considering I had 2200+ miles worth of loads on it.

Overall the Schneider payroll is a scam. Think about it...16,000 employees....if you jack 10,000 of them think about how much they get out of the deal. I was very unhappy with how Schneider dealt with their written guarantee and quit! Sorry....can't be away from the family three weeks at a time for peanuts, too many other companies out there that will actually pay me what they promise to pay me.

With that said, I will continue to say that they DO have a great training program if you can hack it, but really, unless you are going to run on a dedicated account, I'd look elsewhere if you want piece of mind that you'll actually get a paycheck that isn't all messed up every week.
You did not mention if this was your gross pay or your net pay after deductions? Can you please clearify this?

If a student drops out or is kicked do they owe Sni for the training.

Thanks

SNI gives you a 3 day window to change your mind. Ie...you sign the papers on Saturday or Sunday and then have three days to change your mind about the deal and get out without having to repay them. If you get kicked out or quit, no need to repay during that window. However, it starts adding up each day after. If you make it halfway through training, you still owe them for x amount of training, even if they are the ones kicking you out.

WOW. I just read a comment by truckin 916 said 10 people in his SNI class didn't make it. So SNI is make'n money on the people who make it and the people who don't make also.

In this bad economy they could just make money taken in people and kick'n them out. hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm

Truckin and I were both in the same class. I think he has written about our classes before.

Some people think its a money making thing for schneider and I don't think it quite is. They have a lot of costs in researching you, background checks and the like; plus transporation and housing...etc.

However, I believe (someone correct me if Im wrong) that the trainers who train students get a bonus of some sort based on their students down the line. Ie...if I don't get in a wreck within a year or whatever x time frame...then they get a bonus. It helps keep them motivated more less to weed out drivers who they aren't comfortable with driving out there.

Out of our class, jeesh...I cant remember how many we had...maybe 25-30...and I think our last day, we had 9-10 people finish the class. Some didn't have correct papers (ie...Juan couldn't prove certain things, possibly), others had family change thier minds about working OTR. Others bombed miserably, while others just couldn't learn certain concepts fast enough.

Also, another thing to consider is that they pay for most of your loan as well. IE, each paycheck I get, 12.5 is taken out of my pay and put towards the loan, while they fork over 50 bucks. In the end, Ill pay something like 1/3 or less of the training loan thing I signed up for.

Thanks i'm sure this will be a help to readers. But, what about the pay check problem, 2200 miles and the minum $500.00 a wk. I sounds like there was a shortage on the check. Is Sni known to short peoples checks.

I want to get with Sni thats why I have the questions.
