Last I checked with Keen, they want two years OTR exp., at least 23, and NO regional, only OTR. But other than that, everything else I have heard mirrors what TruckinGuru posted.

Well I stand corrected. Last night I checked their website (just google keen transport) and they indicate that they have a NE regional, and starting pay for that is .$50/mile, instead of $.44/mile for OTR drivers. But it still looks like two years minimum OTR exp.

yeah they told me 2 years OTR exp.

that seams like good money , but i wonder how much work they do , when the pull like yukes(sp) and dozers and what not, i cant see much more than chaining it down and using a lowboy in some cases

just a little bit more

well theres a bit more to it than a few chains and binders
i own a heavy haul truck and only pull for one company
restrictions very state by state
some may let you run 1/2 hr b-4 sunrise some # sunrise and some 1/2 after sunrise. same with sunset
many states limit your speed to 10 mph below the posted limit
permiting can take 2 or 3 days to be approved and each state have there own rule as to axel spaceing and weights
also you might want to get ready to pull behind each set of coops
my fule mileage w/ a 550 cat runs about 3.5 mpg
but it pays great if you can put up with all the b-s that goes along with it
have fun
