hey MichiganMatt, dont let the poor saps that either got fired or couldnt hack Werner influence you...Make your own decisions....it isnt that bad of a company, it's a big company yes, but there's problems with every company....and yes, the Forum to Bash Werner is located one Forum North of this one...Been with Werner for 3 years...havent felt any need to go anywhere else.

Please let me know how you make out working/starting for Werner. I haven't read through the rest of this forum and I realize you posted this over a year ago. I'm considering working for Werner in the next couple of months. Thanx

Now he is shuffling trailers around KC in a day cab because he needs to be home every nigh for my mom, but he is staying with Werner and he has never had a complaint. They have always given him the miles he needed and the help he asked for. I plan on starting with Werner this summer as soon as I get out of the Air Force and go through truck driving school. Are you running 48 or dedicated?
I was wondering if you could give an update........

The first couple of months will be very difficult. Go in with the mindset that you are in bootcamp. Don't be self conscious. When backing up, if you have to get out and look a million times and are laughed at, don't let it bother you. If you miss a turn, just relax and turn around at the next safe place to do so, even if you have to drive far to do it. If you have an impatient truck driver behind you, don't hurry. Go as slow as you have to in order to be safe.
