If we think that the drivers have problems with communicating with dispatch, we are not alone. I have been in almost daily contact with my terminal about all this time off. They are up to speed, but someone in Ops keeps calling me(or my answering machine that is, because I am gone 1/2 the day at the doctors), they now have me shown as MIA...Guess they don't read all the messages Deland has been putting in the system about me. I think the problems is in the fact, that I haven't officially been listed as on medical leave, because I am trying to get the doctor to teach me how to pack my own wound so I can get back on the road. Because that is all he is doing, beside looking at it's progress. The infections seems to have cleared, only have 2 days of antibiotic left, and don't see and new goop coming out when I change dressing. Pleeeeeeeeeease release me...let me go..... I won't feel so bad now when I get a confused dispatcher once I get back behind the wheel.
At least we aren't the only one's that confuse them.

Super.. Do yourself a favor and call ops. just to make sure DeLand has put messages in system. I know you shouldn't have to do that, however, it could save you some trouble in the future.

We live in a world filled with human error, and the only one who can truely make sure the job is done right is you.

Glad you doing better!

While in Marietta ask the terminal manager for the phone number of the SE regional dispatch and talk with them directly. Also, talk to the regional drivers, if there are any around.

As for the national board, Atlanta is a good area to live in for home time, and an occasional pass through. As a general rule, you can expect 2700-3500 miles per week.

Welcome aboard and good luck!

I tried to get on s/e regional earlier this year. They said that they haven't had any openings for a while. But that may have changed since all the new policies (pet and speed) have been put in place. But I think national is better place to be. Anyway, welcome...and good luck.

As for me, I have to apologize for the unkind words I have had about the management in the Deland terminal. I was off for a while, but they held my truck for me, and kept me as an active driver. I am now back, in the same truck, the doctor has cleared me to return to duty, I just have to pack and dress the hole in my leg the infection cleaning caused. All infection is gone...thank goodness...I wouldn't wish this on my worst enemy... or even a dispatcher

Happy days are here again.............la la la. yada yada yada

slowly but surely theyre getting my payroll sorted, for some reason comdata keeps double and triple charging me for transactions. couple instances where they apparently caught it, and somehow instead of refunding what shouldve been a nullified transaction, charged me again.

almost september. almost.

Thats the exact reason I NEVER have/will take a pay advance off my comdata card. I dont want to take a chance on a paycheck screwup. I will gladly pay the ATM fees to avoid the hassle.

super: Glad to hear your leg is doing better!

Just a head up!!! I dont know if your truck does this, but I noticed mine does. Idle percentage starting ticking once you stop! Even at a stop sign, a light, or scale, it doesnt matter. I started watching it more closely since a week ago I noticed my mileage was over 2500 miles and then noticed my idle time over 50%... NO WAY. In the past with other companies I know it will wait about 5 minutes before it starts calculating, but with Crete it starts imediately. Nobody has said anything to me about idlieing but if they do, I will tell them about this.

Anything new about the pet policy? Are they holding ground on the rule or will they let it slide? I still see alot of pets on trucks (including mine).
