I did my spreadsheet with Excel also, so just send me an email to evertruckerr at gmailand I'll send you a blank spreadsheet with the formulas embedded. If you have any questions after that I will do my best to help you out.

Now, I'm off to see what I can do about catching up on an update or two.

OH YEAH, I'm sitting in California with my brand new APU ready to thumb my nose at the no idling laws and its a beautiful 75 degree day with a steady breeze. California won't even give me the satisfaction. Hate this state.

Does anyone here have experience with Crete's "WM2 Dedicated" or "Mid-South Regional" fleets?
Also, how long is their training program for someone who obtained their CDL from another school?

Any info appreciated.

Lucky you! Is this the same truck that was using antifreeze and oil like crazy? I just assumed you were in an old truck!

I was at the TA "west" in ontario, CA 3 weeks ago, and witnessed first hand drivers getting tickets from the epa in the truckstop for idiling. I bet they gave out 50 tickets. The trucks parked directly next to me on both sides both got tickets. They didn't even bother waking one of the drivers up, they just taped the ticket to his window. Nice thing to wake up to.

I heard there warnings being issued there. Does anyone know what the fine is for idling in CA ? And just an FYI, everybody knows how bad the TA (east and west) is in Ontario, there are ALOT of places to park south of that TA. Lots of warehouses to stay. I used to run LA once a week and once you find the places to park you will NEVER go back to that TA again. Also, if you ever deliver to Walmart Dist. you will see a little dirt lot next to the driveway. California is getting worse all the time, but since ive been with Crete I have only been to Cali once!

well SuperTrucker ever...you are welcome to keep your butt out of my Great state of California, we won't miss you. And second, I doubt you saw any driver getting a ticket that was asleep in his bunk since CA revised the idle law to allow drivers to idle while sleeping months ago.

Happy,
Where did you hear that they revised that law. The CARB website still has the 5 minute rule. [LINK POSTED BY MEMBER] Only Members Can View This Truck Forum Link. They should revise it though.

The last time I was at the PETRO at the bottom of the grapevine I saw signs posted about the anti-idling law, so I asked the fuel desk personel if they really enforce that law since its so warm in Cali, and she said they never see police driving thru the truck stop, and it would be overwhelming to enforce because of the number of trucks that idle. I think its a common sense law, the police know a driver cant sleep if its to warm to sleep.
