Best of the worst ? Stevens or Werner

I also fell into Stevens Crap . Except I had a really bad trainer , I wont complain about him or the company , as most of you have coverd my "Stevens Hatred" in this forum

Anyways I am eligable for re-hire at Stevens.. I have talked to Werner . I thought they would be good. who has more at home time Stevens Or Werner? Who has worked for both of them ? ...... Basiclly I am scared if i don't go back to Stevens they will add things to my DAC report and default my loan and 30 % if it goes to collection aggenncey if i don't come back to Stevens. This not what i want . I am also affraid that if i go with Werner that on the chance Stevens does add something to my DAC while at Werner they will kick me out of the truck . For False-application or some loop hole

Any help is welcomed thanks !

Thumbs up

Don't ever worry about any collection agency-period! You never have to deal with them. It is Federal law. You do have to deal with original creditor. But as I see you live in TX all they might be able to do is get a judgment against you. They are worthless and noncollectable in this state. I know. I am holding over $170,000. of them from deadbeat builders. You didn't say much about your problems w/Stevens. I'm sure they are like all the rest on here. No miles, no money, no home time. If you can work out something with them that would be the best solution. If they want to get crappy, tell them to shove it and try and collect. Whoever holds the money holds the power.

Don't worry about paying them. I went to Stevens, lasted thru "dumb and dumber" and 2 mos. into solo. I sat at the Ontario T/A for 3 days without anything. I called and told them to get me a load back to Dallas. Parked the truck at the fuel island (at their terminal), left the keys with the dispatcher and haven't looked back. They get their money from federal grants anyway. When students pay them they just get double their money.

Be Careful about Werner and think about trying to clean up what ever it was with Stevens first and then look at other companies in about 6 months. I mean 6 months after driving for Stevens again.

One other thing is each experience is a personal experience; which means it may not turn out the same for one as it does for another.

Be safe out there and good luck

Thank you for you input !I really think that is the way to go . I just sent a e-mail to werner telling them i didnt want to get stuck out of a truck for what is not on my DAC report now, but what may come up in 6-10 weeks about me getting off trainers truck. so if she can send a return e-mail stating me a guarante i won't get kicked off , I am sure she cant do that !??? I think i'll be going out with Stevens will be bettter in the long run . UGH

I would go with Schneider, Watkins Shepard, or Central Refridge before I thought about these guys.

I have to ask why is everyone so worried about werner?
I actually was a driver for them and a trainer. altho i never had the privlage of running over parked cars # home depot. btu i did have good experincces with the trainees.

But i never did see what the deal about them was?
i ran hard, i was paid i would not say it was the best pay but i did get the bills taken care of and i was home as offten as i needed or wanted to be.

Ok . I Decided

I am sure most aren't very interested since i am a noobie, But i am going with werener. I been Strugling with who to go with. I sent the recruiter expressing my concers about being thrown of a Werner truck for what Stevens may have wrote aboout my employement with them on my DAC . But I thought how could i ensure myself? I dont have a qaulcom here. ( everyone says use qaulcom for your own protection.) so I sent that e-mail she said stevens had reported that i was employed and resinged . Nothing eles. I didnt think to check my Dac till it was to late ( momma said I wasn't sharpest tack in the box , but i could still make one hell of a point and could stick on the wall with the best of them) - she must have loved me! LOL---J/K total Joke

But I feel alot better about my decison . the main reason i want to go with werner is 3 weeks out home one week, then three more weeks , then done with training.

Stevens Has one long training program ,I just cant be with someone 5 weeks whom i dont know . three week intervals seem much more realistic . Its a small space and i comend all people who can just mingle with a stranger for 5 weeks. Then the Dumb and dumber fiasco for three weeks . and one week of no pay while at orioontation

I am downloading music on the MP3 For my time out incase i get some who doesn't like my music. LOL . well I will be going to class on this week so i will be off this sitew for three weeks unless i get on a T/S .
