Not only that, but he is quickly eliminating himself from the "desired drivers" pool. I wouldn't hire a driver that was after his sixth job in 16 months, even if he stated that it was due to the miles each time. If I were an employer I would be thinking, "Pass on this guy, he'll just quit if he has a slow week anyway." Not picking on you man, just giving my thoughts. Kinda like protecting your CDL from tickets or accidents and other stuff that make you less desired in the industry, job hopping hurts too. We are in tough times right now, most everyone is. Most days I'm absolutely miserable at my job right now, but it pays well. Everything is a trade off. I'd have left this job a year ago if the industry were in better shape. Sometimes you just have to stick things out and be patient for a little while longer. Good luck! |

| Try Arrow out of Tulsa. Ive been with them for 7 months and the miles are there. They pay well and I have never had a payroll issue. Your pretty much just a number to them but definitely a pretty good job. |

| Debi, You must be new to the industry. I will school you on CR England. They are one of the most abusive and predatory companies out there. Even with the major (multi-million-dollars in fines and hundreds of employees' escrow accounts) lawsuits they are fighting right now in superior court, they continus to steal and conive from their drivers, especially their independents. Ooida has a record of all these suits (Swift is included in the same suits) and keeps them on their website. I was there at England for orientation and left as fast as I could get a ticket home. I was in tears nightly as I listened to other drivers in the bunk house, telling me what was happening to them; many did not have a choice but to take some more of their abuse. They did not have a way home and were starving, waiting for England to throw them a bone. Some were driving 5000 miles and getting a $35 check. That's massive theft!! And they're still doing it!! I personally met 6 women (in 3 days) who had been verbally, emotionally and even physically abused by their trainers, and were actually fired for it! And the trainers are still driving!! A local attorney in Salt Lake City actually has 48 women who are filing a class-action at CR England, for sexually abusive treatment and discriminatory actions. And these suits are on top of the big one they will be paying out, already!. Swift too! I don't have the stomach to keep on here, but trust me, This company deserves to go down hard. They are abnormally heartless and will push you to the breaking point, expecting you to take their "this is how it is; take it or leave" attitude. Don't do it to yourself. Do yourself a favor. Ask around. Do your homework. Save yourself. |

| It's really hard to find an honest company out there. We found that u sit alot in any company that offers you so much a mile as pay for us owner operators and have had good luck with Karriers out of north dakota. We liked Roehl but they simply couldn't give us the miles we needed to pay our operating expenses and you really have to be watchful of your dsr, they won't let you split your logs though and that can cost you miles when the week is done. Good luck to ya! |

| A good company is one that will take care of you. They usually have the best insurance plans to offer, good freight contracts, and know you by name instead of truck number. Finally, they will require that you have otr or whatever experience is needed. Hunter
