I was leased to Lanstar for awhile. I will agree with you about safety, no doubt. I had to run 110% legal. Well, there's always way around it. With them, it's a long way around anything. There's nothing wrong with that. They are on top of every thing, all the way down to your mileage doesn't match your fuel. I only had one real problem there. That was the road stars, or what ever they are called. I had one of them come up to me and ask to see me log book. I laughed at him. he was just another driver to me. I guess he really thought he was something. He got mad and called me in. They wanted to cancel my lease over that.

The way I understand it, they are appointed as company patrolmen or ladies. I didn't like that at all. He never saw my log book.

I never heard of it and probably would have told the guy to whiz off too. Unless corp told me I had to show em I wouldn't do it. Even then I wouldn't unless I was afraid of getting a lease canceled.

I told them that my logs are legal when I turn them in. How I get by with my logs on the road was NONE of their business.

That is about the oddest deal I've heard of. I saw several road stars in my travels and not a one asked to see my comic book.

I've heard that many of the roadies are narcs too. This would fit. Like if they see you parking on an off ramp etc they will go out of their way to find your truck number. One guy told me he heard of a narc going to the next exit turning around and coming back just to get the truck number.
