That is true about the ramada according to 1bad. 1bad said when he was there (SLC) the mircowaves at the terminal were all broken. Hopefully they are replaced by now.

It was working when i used it the last time i was in SLC.

No blizzard now just a lot of wind. will be making our delivery tonight. and hopefully get out of here before the next storm.

I just got a call from my recruiter (Roni). She was just checking in. I let her know I was going to fly in and she said to make sure I keep my ticket and they will reimburse me the cost of the bus ticket they were going to send me. Now here is a funny thing I just found out. Utah apparently doesn't require a birth certificate in order to get a cdl. I have never (until just recently) had a copy of my BC. When I started looking into trucking, I found that most companies/schools were listing it as something you needed to bring with you.

A little backround, my father was a bank robber and was using an alias when I was born. I tried a few years ago to get my certificate, but since I have used my real last name all my life, I did not have any ID with that (alias) name on it. So they told me NO.

I was told to get my name changed "for the purpose of changing the birth record". Tried that, DENIED! "You must have a birth certificate in order to change your name. Can anyone say "Catch 22"?

So I thought I was sunk. But in reading the fine print on the request form for the birth certificate, I found a clause that said, "In lieu of picture ID, we will also accept a W$ form, as long as it has your signature on it." There were several other things, like green cards etc, but I thought to myself, I can sign any name on a W4 that you want!

So I printed up a W4 off the web, signed my "alias" to it, and sent off the request for 2 certified copies of my BC. Guess what? They sent them to me!!!!!!

Ok, next step, cause now I have a BC with a different name on it. Back to court to get my name changed. Filed that, gotta wait 30 days. OK, now that's done. Call and apply at Central, going to school in Utah, where I don't need the cert OR the name change!

Yes, and I probably would never have gotten around to it otherwise. I actually thought it was cool having an MRI done on my head. Now I have a cd full of proof that I actually have a brain!

I live about 350miles from slc. and was wondering if signed on with central if they will let me take my truck home for my off time or do i need to find a ride... Also do i take home the trailor also or just the tractor... thnx
