Your 100% on nose with that one. They hate it when your at home for a few hours or just one night. They even told me I had to stay with the truck until my delivery appt. that was 9 hours away. The reciver was only 5 miles from the Fontana terminal, I told them very clearly "I will see you tonight, I'm going home & turning off my phone". Came back down & made my drop, they didn't like that at all.

I've got no criminal record, great mvr, except for a DUI in 1974, no drugs or drinking or smokin either. good health.
Do ya think I could get a job if and when I get my CDL?

If anybody else has any info, tell me straight. Cuz I can't trust a recruiter, unfortunately.
You really shouldn't have a problem I don't think. However they will ask for the reason you were let go... If you don't tell them, they WILL find out one way or another.

Sanity at home wellll..not sure about that..lol My main focus with this many kids is having them all together as much as possible. My oldest is in college about 2 hours away. He comes home as often as he can. I totally believe in having supper together. We always eat together not matter what! At the table and no TV. It is a whole lot of noise, everyone talking about what's going on with them. It's one rule I always adhere to. I wouldn't trade one of them. Might send them away for awhile though! LOL

It will all work out!
Not wanting to be a down, but you must always be ready for him to not be able to get home when planed. Its very hard to buy tickets to events or anything because you never know for sure if you will make it home on time or not.

I haven't had much trouble with it, only once & I was a week late. I live near our Fontana terminal so its not a big problem for me because of the amount of stuff coming to LA.

Another thing they do that I just can't understand is that I get home a little early & they ask if I can run over to (Insert name here) & pickup/deliver tonight. They got me in early so I'm like "Ya, no problem". Then I go do it & find out its a drop/hook that takes all of 10 min. I waste 3 hours of home time for 15-30 min. of work. Or its a huge mess that takes hours to get fixed & is a complete waste of time.

Like the trailer full of tomatoes that was dumped all over inside the trailer by whoever was driving the forklift at the Fontana terminal that unloaded some off another trailer for reasons untold to me... Oh was I unhappy about that one.

For those talking about Pro-Stars.
I can make a few comments. International has a much better reputation for initial quality than Volvo.
The sleepers of the road trucks are typically bigger, unless the sleeper only has one window at the top, then it is a 53". If it has 2 it is a 73".
The space is much better set up for usable storage also.
If they get the Eagle package it is even better, but I doubt they will. That includes all the hookups for a fridge, white face gages, leather seats ect.

It will have a Cummins Engine, and not the crappy Volvo Engine.

Also just a note. Someone said that they only order 9 speeds. They also order 10 speeds, just depends on who ordered the truck. (this is with the Volvo's)
With the fuel issues lately though International is pushing for better gear ratios than Central usually uses, and super 10s.
So you will just have to wait and see how it goes. Those trucks, set up right are getting great MPG numbers.

Fontana, CA, Salt lake city, UT (Company H/Q) & Dever, CO.

We also have drop yards scattered around as well, however they do not have any services provided on site.

I'm sure we are getting the same that Swift has been bringing in. I believe its the 73", but I'm not 100% sure of that. It has a window on each side of the sleeper, much the same way the Pete does.

Lady,
If you ever in Conley let me know if you get bored and wanna meet. From what my hubbys says we are only 20 miles from there. I guess I figure out how to get there when he gets done w/ training. As far as the dinner thing goes WE are firm believers in that to. Of course, alot of times its so and so sit down and get? or "we're in the same room inside voices!" You know the drill. Even tho there is only 4 of us the youngest forgot get in the line for an inside voice before she left heaven..........lol

Be safe and stay between the lines all. Hopefully you won't hear from us for a few days daddy flys home in the morning and the girls plan on keeping him all to themselves!

P.S. Happy early birthday!!!!!!!!!

Thank you so much for the birthday wish! Maybe we can get together sometime. Sounds awesome! I hope you and the girls have a wonderful time. Mine should be home this weekend. He will be at Conley about midnight tonight. He will then start his upgrade tomorrow. I think I will be going to get him Friday evening for the weekend. Then he will be back Monday morning to finish up. We live about 3 1/2 hours aways from Conley. By the way my real name is Lagaya.

I hope everyone has a wonderful day!
Stay safe always!
