From what I hear from 6Pak, Lisa is reasonable and I would be asking her.

JJ and I got stuck in Oregon last year for 4 days over the 4th july weekend and boy was he Peeved to put it mildly.

1bad get loads off the load board all the time. Some weeks that's the only way that head crack head f/m he has will give him a load. He would rather him sit for days with out making a penny. So in my opinion you have to do what you have to do to keep rolling. With that being said it is a holiday weekend so freight is low this weekend.

Well I got something to work with for today & tomorrow, but I will be empty the night of the 3rd so I'm not feeling too good about this week end. I will be making a lot of noise tomorrow to try to shake something lose to keep me moving this weekend.

I'm beginning to really like this new DM that I got. When I say new, I mean he is new to the company and the business. Things started out kind of rocky with us and he can still annoy me with the micro-managing BUT he is looking out for me which I like. I made it plain to him that I only make money when my wheels are turning and he seems to have taken it to heart. Have been averaging 3000+ a week lately.

Had a short drive today and am presently sitting but that has more to do with wally world than with the company. They only take meat and produce loads here in the am. Have 3 drops to do tomorrow starting at 0300. 2 are here in Wisconsin and the last is in (I shudder badly) in Chicago. I hate Chicago. Already have a preplan to pick up in Chicago and will be heading to Denver. Love these nice runs!! Woo hoo!!!!

Where in IL are you at Brinkman?

Geeze, we're not that far apart. Am up in tomah, Wi myself at the Kwik trip. Delievering at the walmart here, then to around Madison, then off to Summit, IL. 1st 2 drops shouldn't be any trouble. Last may or may not. Pick up could be a pain tho.

Questions for the experienced folks on here:
  • Which engine do you most prefer ?
  • What are your experiences with engine reliability, mileage, etc. between Cummins, Caterpillar, Volvo and Detroit ?
  • What are your preferences for transmissions ?
  • Truck manufacturer likes and dislikes, pro and cons ?
Thanks in advance for any helpful replies.[/quote]

Unless we have somehow jumped ahead 30 years I don't think so. I know when I was there about 2 weeks ago it was as bad as ever.
